Why are Joe Biden's gaffs an issue with the right?

It seems his campaign team has decided to float the idea of limiting his appearances because of his increasing propensity to stick his foot in his mouth..

Plus...Invoking the possibility of Obama’s assassination when white-supremacist violence is rising seems reckless, at the very least. Even if there was a more salient point, I can’t understand why any candidate, let alone Obama’s own vice president, would say this. I’m not outraged that Biden hypothesized about Obama being killed, but it is pretty dumb.

Telling women they're old by looking at them while the men are not. Even if the age differences were very stark, I'm not seeing much good in saying this. 1968 was a real bad time, Joe. We get it

He tangles himself into knots a lot when he talks. He doesn't speak with authority. He sounds confused. His answers to the media pool often have the longest transcripts. He should be able to answer in half as many words since that's what you have to do on the debate stage. There's no way people are going to ignore his senior moments in front of a mic forever. People begin to notice these things.

Having said that, Biden will surely get my vote over Trump if he's the nominee. I'm not "trashing" Biden so much as pointing out that he's not necessarily as "electable" as people say he is. Moreover, let's face it: we all remember what happened a few years ago when the Democratic party coronated the front-runner.
 
It's simple. They are a problem because it works with his base, they will believe anything they say. As for others not falling for it, who cares? They already arent going to vote for them. It's the same reason they use the words they use for racism... plausible deniability for their base, and who cares what the rest think because agaijn they won't vote for him. Use a logo from a white sepremist group? It wasn't him who picked it, it was someone else and it slipped through the cracks.....

Sure a lot of us don't fall for it, but who cares, we arent his base and they do fall for it and that's what matters.
 
Why are we comparing Biden to Trump or anyone to Trump for that matter? We all know Trump is bottom of the barrel sewer scum and any other candidate would be a much better option to run this country than him. Setting Trump as the standard is foolish as everyone would just be stepping over that standard. We should be comparing Biden to all the other Democratic candidates to ensure we have the very best candidate out there pushing the right policies and agendas for the future of this country.

It's perpetually fascinating how disconnected you are from evidence-based reasoning.

The Russians explicitly, repeatedly signalled their preference for Trump; they might have thought his win unlikely, but all evidence shows that they wanted it. At the least, they knew he would be softer than Clinton and would stoke social divisions (many of the Russian Facebook/Twitter meddling attempts were meant to amplify tensions).

And they're not "notoriously soft." There is no "partnership." I just think they didn't understand just how determined Putin was to recreate his ideal version of the Soviet Union. Besides, you really, really can't complain about softness when Trump is bending over backwards at every opportunity trying to please Putin, whether it's dropping funding for the Ukraine military, lifting sanctions or weakening NATO. You want someone who actually stands up to Russia? Don't vote for Trump.

The uber-rich elite live in the investor quadrant of Kiyosoki's income graph, i.e., the vast bulk of their earnings doesn't come from what the IRS classifies as earned income: wages, tips, etc. They'll (dems and reps) make sure that any new tax hikes barely touch them. If you want your fantasy of raping the 1%ers to come true, you'll need a tax code that will carve out a huge chunk of that investment money. Good luck with that, son.

How does people talking about Biden's gaffs result in Trump being re-elected? Everyone should be coming together to vote for whoever the Democratic presidential candidate it, whether it is Biden, Booker, Sanders, Warren, etc. Right now, people are trying to determine who the best Democratic representative is and Biden's gaffs does contribute to that decision.
 
I, for one, have been blindsided by Biden's propensity for appearing stupid on camera. It isn't like he has a long history of this type of behavior.

So Russia so wanted a President Hillary they decided to undermine her campaign at any chance and actively support our current President who has YET to say anything negative about Russia.
