Most religious type folk don't read their bibles. Hell I'm sure I've read the bible more than 90% of the people I know who go to church and practice christianity every day. But, ignorance is bliss and they aren't going to sacrifice happiness for truth, sadly.

Yes, he is, but he is humorous provided you know he hates anyone who believes with a purpose. It is sad in a way when one goes through life not able to believe in something larger than oneself even if it does not have to be God. Perhaps that is why he is so enamored of Obama or perhaps why he has such hatred for religion.

In any event, he can do no harm to those who do have a purpose more than self fulfillment. I am no evangelical by any means, but understand why someone like a Phokus must have something to hate.

Because any private citizen is allowed to lie as much as they want in most circumstances with no penalty other than the social, and that social penalty is usually imposed by the conservative evangelicals. Pretty much everybody else just shrugs and ignores the behavior of others unless it directly impacts them.

* FBOs cannot discriminate on the basis of religion when providing services (GAO 2006:13[3]).

I think... At least I hope he meant that they lose their tax exempt status so we collect taxes from them... They are in fact a business.

What makes you think they would get govt funding? Removing tax exempt status does not equal getting govt. funding.

Charity work.... that's what they must call it these days when they use their untaxed income to buy multiple homes and cars. I have seen many pastors guilty of this.

Back to the OP...

I went with my cousin to the youth night at Rick Warrens church (Saddleback). Not only did the pastor admit to having a problem with masturbation in his marriage (due to never having sex until he was 28 obviously), he also said this:

"If you are struggling with urges of attraction to the same sex, please let us help you! This problem is curable!"

I promptly left in disgust.
