Wait, some move games could be played online, right? Just not sports champions?

Resident Evil 5 Gold allows you to play with Move while online. MAG is getting a Move patch, and that FPS game is 100% online.

The developer of Sports Champions recently hinted slightly that they are looking at adding online play.

Source? I'll wait until they add that. BTW, is the tennis game as fun as Wii Sports?

Source.

Comparing table tennis on the Wii to the PS3 version is like comparing Little League to Major League baseball. Or in videogame terms, one is Super Mario Karts, and the other is Gran Turismo. The realism gap between the two when it comes to any game play mechanic you can think of is so large, that they can barely be mentioned in the same sentence together.

Thanks for the link. I didn't realize that there wasn't a tennis game in Sports Champion. I prefer Tennis to table tennis hugely. I guess I'll have to wait.

There is Move-compatible tennis in the game Racquet Sports, but it's complete shit. I'm only saying because in the off chance you saw that game and bought a Move for it, you'd be immensely disappointed.

Did you play it? Was Wii Sports better? Joystiq gives it 4/5 stars. I wonder when Virtua Tennis is coming out?

Yea the table tennis really sucks. My favorite game out of all the sports one is Bocce. It seriously is really fun. I have Wii or now Move elbow. My elbow is killing me today.

I played the demo, which had tennis and badminton. It felt like a Wii game to me, where you just swung the controller at the right time while your guy is moved to the ball. It just wasn't fun when compared to table tennis in Sports Champions.

Table tennis in Sports Champions sucks or Wii table tennis?? Table tennis in Sports Champions is pretty much universally regarded as THE game (within a game) to play with the Move.

I didn't like the table tennis in Sports Champion. I enjoyed the Bocce the best out of everything.

Not liking TT on the PS3 and saying it sucks are two different things. The game is easily the most realistic representation of table tennis ever made.

If you like real-life table tennis but not Move table tennis, I would be incredibly surprised.

have a PS3 and a 360

never plan on getting either of the gimmicks

Exactly what I thought. I HATE the Wii, I think it's just awful. But for some reason I picked up Move today, and it's incredibly fun. You can't even compare it to Wii.

It's ironically funny to me; a few people might call the Move a gimmick, but the real gimmick is when you go back and try to play stuff like Table Tennis (the Rockstar game) with a analog pad. It feels so clunky while Move play feels so realistic.

How is being an accurate representation of reality a gimmick? Isn't that the anti-gimmick when you think about it? I'd go so far as to say, every table tennis game made before Sports Championship had gimmicky controls. This is the first time the "sport" has actually been done right.

Of course not every genre works well with Move - doing it wrong or forcing motion controls where it really doesn't fit can be gimmicky, I agree. But give me a console FPS where the aiming with a motion controller is as close to precise as it is when aiming in real life (as opposed to the goofy way we now play now with the thumbstick + aim-assists) and I'd say it is as far from gimmicky as you can get.

Good luck holding your arms out in front of you constantly during a ten hour MW2 grinding marathon.

/insert predictable 'you must have girl arms' response here. If it's that much fun hold, your arms out straight in front of yourself all day. No need for a console, all of the fun!

I got a chance to play the Move a little at a friends house last night. Wholly unimpressive. I want it even less now.

What did you play?

The sports game. I watched him play archery, gladiator duel, and table tennis, then I personally played disc golf with him. None of the games were even remotely impressive. They weren't poorly done or anything, they were just... nothing.
