His Smirk on his face was in response for Biden laughing at him or interrupting him. What do you do when some know-it-all used car dealer hems and haws when you tell him you need a better deal.

Honestly love to see Biden speak more about issues and less about getting loud and interrupting every single answer by Ryan.

My dad and I were arguing to this point over the phone. I said that Biden was doing fine in the debate and didn't need the condescension and interrupting to get his point across.

My dad felt that Biden needed to just call Ryan on his bullshit, so interrupting was necessary. I personally think it just weakens you to interrupt so much and grin like a fool.

Ryan dodged fundamentals on some questions but he did well for the most part. He seemed to have a lot of knowledge on foreign policy, albeit it seemed memorized. Biden was an ass at times but he seemed genuine whereas Ryan was robotic and ultimately, forgettable - kinda like Obama was last week. Now Obama has some leeway to let loose a little bit since Biden took it all the way already. I suppose that was the goal for the White House

This is what I got from it, and turned it off. It was sad seeing the man who deals with real world issues having to waste his time with someone in right-wing la-la land. Where do you begin the cult deprogramming? It's not Biden's job to wake willfully ignorant people up. I would rather watch Biden wash his dishes. More challenging/interesting. Rather sad thing to watch really, and of course no real issues just your superficial talking points framed and digested for blandness by the corporate media circus that presents our USA elections to us.

I didn't watch the debate at all.

That being said, CNN is saying 48/44 for Ryan, +/-5%; effectively a draw.

I think it was pretty even. Uncle Joe was an assclown and Ryan dodged questions. This debate probably didn't sway a single voter.

Biden's audible sighing, scoffing and laughing probably cost him some points in the CNN polling which shows 48% to 44% in Ryan's favor.

I really don't like seeing politicians being dicks. Aparently you do. I wish you were washing your dishes. You think Ryan is ignorant? Nice. I bet you know you are right all the time and love to tell us about it.

I'd say that's certainly plausible. A portion of the American public, when viewing a debate, is as interested (or more) in the debater's demeanor as they are in the substance of their arguments. During a presidential debate it's not enough to have better policy, one must appear Presidential. If Biden had a better grasp of policy but came across as smug, disrespectful, squirrely, demeaning, impolite or some with other negative personality connotation then that could actually be more harmful than appearing incompetent.

Remember, one of the contributing factors to GWB being elected and re-elected is that both of his opponents, Gore and Kerry, came across as completely wooden and unlikable.

IMHO, Biden totally spanked Ryan for being the 24 carat phony that Ryan has always been.

Somewhat halting the momentum Romney gained when Obama was too polite to Romney in the last debate.

But now I predict the democratic spanking of the Romney Ryan ticket is just starting, and its just going to continue to gain steam until election day.

Romney has been on every side of every issue to get away with re inventing himself again every time he has a set back. And now every time Romney and Ryan open their mouths, they are going to have to tell the American people why they said quite the opposite just a few months ago.

Obama Biden may not be the sharpest knives in the drawer, but at least they are consistent.

The best part was the moderator repeatedly asking Paul Ryan what they would do differently on Syria than what the current administration has done. Paul Ryan basically had to back down and admit 30,000 deaths in Syria is not a good enough reason for war because it isn't in our strategic interests.

He didn't have the balls to come out and say it. He didn't really come out and say anything. Ticking me off.

I want Romney to have to answer those questions, about Syria, Iran, Afghanistan.
