What's a golden shower?

What Bush did to the U.S.

Nah that should be classified as a clusterfuck 😉

True. What's hilarious is to watch the Neocunts immediately start circle-jerking when they think they've won a point in these threads. Priceless.

And we would have a precedent established. I'm sure then that you wouldn't object in the future when a Republican president does the same thing when he doesn't like a particular news network or two who don't happen to see eye-to-eye on his policies. How nice.
The issue isn't whether a particular organization sees "eye-to-eye" on his policies, it's that they distort the policies in order to score points.

Call it whatever you like, I am offended when someone tries to persuade me to his view by lying about other people. And the faux journalists -- the same onew who never bother to actually investigate what is being said and spend more time talking about coverage than content -- who want to participate in this are just as bad as the Fox gang.

do you feel the same way when CNN, CNBC does it? they have.

what the white house is doing is wrong and IS going to backfire on the whitehouse. Even other networks are starting to understand that this is not right.

The Obama administration today tried to exclude Fox News from the White House press pool. This attempted act contradicted the spirit and letter of the First Amendment, and the press fought back.

Thursday the White House made "pay czar" Kenneth Feinberg available for interviews to every member of the White House pool except Fox News. The pool is the five-network group that shared the costs and duties of daily coverage of the presidency and has done so for decades.

But in a surprising show of decency, the four other members of the pool -- ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN -- told the White House if Fox were barred none of them would participate in the interview session

IF the white house is able to do this it would not be good for the press. NOT just Fox but for all of them. I suspect they all are starting ot wonder "what if" of the future. the Dems are not goign to be in power for ever.

Yes, but at least they take a shower each day. Fox hasn't taken a shower in years. The stench is overwhelming.
Yeah...right...unless maybe you're talking about a golden shower.
What's a golden shower?
What's the matter, babydoc - embarrassed to publicly state what a golden shower is? Who would be giving this golden shower? Your crude analogy isn't really appropriate at all. Maybe you should take some time to think through your cesspool of ideas before posting.

"Thursday, the Obama administration escalated its war with Fox News by trying to bar the cable channel's White House correspondent from a press pool event. To their credit, the four other members of the pool -- ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN -- told the White House if Fox were barred none of them would participate in the interview session."

Fucking WRONG. Way to trample the constitution Mr President. I guess if previous presidents have it you can too.

:thumbsdown::brokenheart::disgust:😱:evil::frown:🙁 ?

With all the "Bipartisanship" and negotiating in good faith exhibited by the Republicans in Congress. Not to mention a shrinking base. I don't see this happening anytime soon.

Forest for the trees.

By making it an issue they cause what they wanted to avoid, more people watching fox to see why they are bad.

Meh, Sure there will be viewers tuning in to watch "The Crazy" in person, Beck, for example, it's gotta be drawing in the curious. It doesn't matter, Beck has no power

Just because people like watching freak shows doesn't mean they want to be freaks themselves.

The war is on.

Seriously, I'm listening to TF2's The Art of War while reading this.

Bill O'Reilly was right. This is a war.

There is no "war". If a public figure criticizes someone, the media says they "attacked" that person. Obama admin point out Fox's political slant, Now, according to them the Obama admin is at "war" with Fox. I know part of it is trying to garner public attention. Saying someone was attacked draws more attention then criticized. You aren't going to have a meaningful dialogue with someone that thinks they are at "war". That they are the victims of an "attack". Then the media gets to do what it loves best, debate some controversy they created themselves. The question then becomes, is it wise for Obama to be at "war" with Fox? There is no war, it's a media creation.

Fox's enrichment via their gullible base is irrelevant. The White House isn't trying to squash free speech. The White House isn't trying to put Fox out of business. The White House isn't trying to reinstate the fairness doctrine. The White House isn't trying to convince Beckians to come within a thousand light years of reality. That will never happen.

The White house called a "spade a spade".

So, Numerous establishment journalists have strongly condemned the Obama White House for its criticisms of Fox. The discrepancy between that behavior and their conduct towards the Bush White House's press attacks also demonstrates, as usual, that reality is the exact opposite of the Right's incessant and petulant complaints about the "Liberal Media." If all rich people owning media corporations were liberals what do you think the media would be like?

It may be that the other media networks realize that if the reprisals toward Fox is unchecked; they could become the next in line.

I imagine this is the kind of fud that fox wants others to believe.

And then, there are those talking heads who are defending fox because they want to keep their options open.

Why do people not understand this crucial point? R/D aside, this is the issue at hand.

Fox isn't a news organization. Fox is a hodgepodge of pundits, columnists, and really dumb sounding hair heads. So the question is really "Does Fox News have the same access to the White House as other commentary mills?" For example, do the The Nation, New Republic, Creators Syndicate, Mother Jones, etc have better access than Fox? If so, then that is wrong and Fox should receive access similar to that enjoyed by those organizations. If not, then Fox is just whining.

So tell me...have you ever seen a news network do a fact check on a SNL skit before?
So tell me ... do you ever address an argument with relevant discussion and factual information, or are you limited to diversions and emotional arguments based on RNC propaganda points?
WTF are you talking about...I point to a clear and recent example of blatant news media bias and you call it a diversion? My comment was both relevant to the discussion and factual. You been hitting the bottle a little early today?
Except it's not an example of media bias, no matter how many times the RNC tells you to say so. Perhaps it's an example of CNN's shift to infotainment rather than real news, a valid complaint IMO about all television media, but there's nothing especially partisan about it. That's just your Pavlovian response because the usual RNC propaganda outlets started spreading the claim. You continue to make emotional arguments based on this while ignoring factual information to the contrary.
Sir...you are totally brain dead. You have my condolences.

i don't either. but its bound to happen. No one party stays in power long.

not to mention they all got to be thinking ok what if they don't agree with Obama. is the white house going to go after them? what if obama loses and the dems are not in office then is whatever Republican in office going to do the same?

I really don't see any of the news networks allowing it to happen (not to mention the courtS).

Yup. Freedom of the press only for 'correct thinking' journalists. It's good to see the Chicago thug machine get smacked.
