The point is not about the 17 year old having sex, it's about the 17 year old's mother talking about how conservative and religious she is, but doesn't even have the ability to raise her own daughter to follow these simple morals and values. If she can't run she family proper, how do you expect this woman to run the most powerful country in the world. She might as well go teach at Sunday school.

By your logic, if she becomes the POTUS all her subordinates can tell her to fuck off. Why bother following any of the laws and regulations?

Man...it's so hard to raise a duaghter today. the only way to completely shield her from premature sex is to home school or to have a body guard on her 24/7. You act like just because you raise them that way they will be that way.
 
Prior to my original posts in here I wasn't aware that Palin had announced her daughter is currently pregnant. I do respect her for admitting it openly and that they will support Bristol.

However, the "marriage" part of the statement disturbs me and screams "appease the conservative base!"

Bristol already made one mistake by getting pregnant so young. I hope they don't force her into another mistake and pressure her into marrying the father if the two of them aren't meant to be or don't want to be together.

Jim DeMint (R-SC) apologized for saying gays and unmarried mothers should not teach in public schools, but he stopped short of retracting the statements.

No, because accepting the vp nod means putting your family in the national press spotlight, with no privacy. If she turned it down, her daughter would have been spared the national glare and would have remained the gov's preg teen daughter. There is quite a difference between local and national exposure.

Not if I had a special needs newborn [and pregnant teen daughter] who need lots of attention and care. There's quite a difference between the needs of a newborn and an older child, and there is quite a difference in the amount of care that a special needs child requires.

If she becomes the VP, her husband won't need to work anymore. Afterwards, she could probably make enough as a public speaker to provide for her family. The responsibilities of the VP are pretty minimal, especially compared to a governor or the president. I think her kids would be better off if she becomes the VP than if she remains a governor.

With politicians, you have to read between the lines. But let's say that all she wants is it to be discussed and not part of the curriculum. Creationism should never be discussed during a Science course (because your science teacher isn't expected to know and understand it). It's a great way to sidetrack the teacher and the class and waste valuable learning time. Creationism would be part of a Christianity course not a Science course. And any student that wants to discuss it would hopefully go to a private school and discuss it with their religion teacher. Game, set, match.
 
LOL...a thugster wannabe whitewonderbread phoney....GAG!!!...oh well..seems thats what the young girls are into these days...my stepson is a great kid, in good shape and is moving toward going to Annapolis....I asked him about the girl situation...he told me that they all seem to like the momos that wear their hat crooked and listen to rap music... I told him....in 10, when you are a high ranking officer/or SEAL, they will be either still living at home scuzzing around with hos and babies or they will be working at the quickie mart reading magazines about things they will never do and places they will never go.
