Okay. PC games have had a pretty dry run for a little while imho. While we finally got our Duke Nukem Forever, it was more a dud than a masterpiece. With the release of Deus Ex : Human Revolution being surprisingly good (even if a tad over-rated, probably due to it being so long since a pretty good game came through), I feel we're on the brink (no pun intended, everyone was let down by that) of a pretty good stretch here.

Personally, I'm torn between BF3 and Skyrim. BF3 because well, I loved BF2, and my brother and friends will definitely play with me. I didn't think the world of BC2, but it was mainly because BC2 felt small in scale to me, which doesn't seem the case at all with BF3. Skyrim I think I might have to lean towards, because I know my GF is looking forward to it even more than me (she looooooved Oblivion, even the vanilla one), so we'll have plenty to talk about and experience there for sure.

Diablo 3, I think I will enjoy it, but I doubt I'll have the time to invest in it like I did waaay back in the D2 days. I'll probably take a couple runs through the game and put it down. GF did like Titan Quest though. Who knows. Depends on replayability.

MW3, well, I thought the first MW was okay, but each game feels more like an expansion pack to me than anything else, and the multiplayer feels really juvenile and small to me. So I'll probably rent it on a console some day far far down the line.

Rage I have no idea honestly. A lot of the tech stuff behind the game seems amazing. I loved all of the Fallout games really, and that's what it looks closest to imho, with perhaps a touch of borderlands thrown in as well. The variety possible with that megatexturing or whatever could make a very compelling visual experience, where you don't see nearly as much cut/paste world-building.

I didn't mention some others that should be fairly good (eg; Torchlight 2), because I don't consider them 'AAA' titles per se. 'AAA' should mean from a top-level studio, with either lots of history behind a series, a large budget, and so on. We all love it when a non-AAA title turns out to be amazing anyway. But to keep this more focused, I've kept the list to the really big boys.

OKAY, let us know how you feel!

Skyrim is my most anticipated game.

Mostly because I loved Oblivion so much that I put 150 hours into one save file. I didn't even mod it once, I put that time in on an Xbox 360. If it is at least as much fun as Oblivion I will be very happy.

BF3 is my second most anticipated game because I like the BF franchise more so than the CoD franchise. CoD is great but the game hasn't changed in a major way since CoD 4.

I havent bought a Treyarch produced CoD since CoD 3.

CoD : MW3 is my final most anticipated game for this year because I still think CoD is fun and want to give the franchise another chance to wow me like CoD 2 and CoD 4 did when they came out.

If bad company 2 was any indication, Battlefield 3 is going to be a masterpiece.

I thought Oblivion was a step down from Morrowwind so I don't have high expectations for skyrim. In Morrow wind it took 8 hours to walk from one side of the map to the other, Oblivion looked like a camping trip in northern ontario.

Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War expansion pack #3 or Dawn of War 3... whichever they fancy.

Very nervous about that because they really threw away most of the good that they'd earned themselves with Chaos Rising when they made the debacle that was Retribution. Just hope they don't go back to the hundreds of Space Marines scenario of 1, and just rebalance the number of units other races get per squad.

Their next outing could make or break the series for me.

Battlefield 3, naturally. I'm also excited of course for the day Skyrim is half off on a christmas or summer sale.

Lots of big games coming out. I have Dead Island pre-loaded already. Have BF3 pre-ordered. Waiting for a MW3 deal possibly. SS3 for sure. Rage yes pls. I never played oblivion but Skyrim looks really good. Also there's Arkham City. Saints Row 3. Space Marine.

no Serious Sam 3. Poll Fail.

Forgive me. Isn't Serious Sam more of a botique/indie game rather than AAA title? I looked at the trailer, and I bet it'll be great classic fun, but it looks really old lol.

Anyways, I do know how many times a great indie game is much more fun than an overblown let-down of a 'AAA' title.

BF3. The others are in genres I don't enjoy (Skyrim and D3) or don't look that great (MW3). I'm indifferent on Rage, but I don't like iD games usually so I probably won't bother with it.

Out of that incredibly short list, Skyrim.

And by "excited" I mean, "might buy a year later if theres a good demo now".

Voted Skyrim. But i'd put Diablo 3 on the same level.

I just hope they don't Oblivionized the next Elder Scrolls..

Out of your list, probably Diablo III.

I'm also interested in Torchlight II, and for games coming early next year, I'd say SC2:HotS

I am watching Rage and Diablo 3 with equal attention.

between the 2, I suspect that D3 will be the better game, as id has not made a good quality single player game in about a decade.

Mass Effect 3.

Everything else on the poll is in my "buy @ <$30" list, except Diablo 3 which is "won't buy at any price".

Other - Might and Magic Heroes 6. Been playing the beta, and it is one of the rare times that a beta gets me even more super excited than I was about the game by virtue of it being the next in one of my favorite game series of all time.
