wow thats a great deal... the link you posted at the top of the thread (where i am assuming you bought it) says 250 for that card... thats why i was wondering... they must have raised the price or something since they sold out... still anything below retail is a steal at this point i think...

NCIX seems to have raised the price on the 8800GT (the EVGA Superclocked version) to $280 now. Wtf.

Nvidia says the GT 512MB should cost 200$, and the 256MB version should cost even LESS... but everyone is wanting them so the prices are high right now.

I just saw the $289 price as well. What a pisser that is! Fortunately I got it for $239 + shipping/insurance for $254.89 early this morning (although it is on backorder)
However I do have to sell my 8600 GTS, which I know I'll take a big loss on.

Hopefully it'll go down. Whatever, I couldn't get past the card verification woes with NCIX so I cancelled, I'll just wait 'till next week and see what stores come up with good prices that isn't gouged.

My order is definitely on backorder and it the website says they'll get more on 10/31. The window that tells you the # in stock is updated once every 24 hours, therefore it still indicates there are > 10.

Yes they are, think I ordered the last EVGA SC 8800GT from NewEgg. Went out of stock right after that. Hopefully it really was in stock and my timings better than it usually is.

Okay.

I gave Frys a call and the customer service rep said that they'll have shipments of the 8800GT by tomorrow. Hopefully, that's true, and even more hopefully, the shipment comes early enough tomorrow that they can begin shipping out same day.

$250 (including shipping and gay tax since I live in Kalifornia), I'm sorta pissed that the NCIXUS order didn't go through, I would've preferred paying $10 for the superclocked version, but it's probably doable to DIY overclock to KO levels on the standard EVGA 8800GT.

Good luck to everyone else; this whole 8800GT business has been a fiasco at best. :/
