That's fine when you're 13, 14, 15 years old. It's part of male childhood development. But even thousands of years ago, once you became an adult you are no longer 'sparring'. You are no longer fighting for sport and expected to stop once the other person cries out.


Bottom line is that I have a family to support, and if someone attacks me I will not stop defending myself until one of us is fully incapacitated. That means unable to pull a gun from a waistband or reach into a pocket for a knife. I am not fighting for my own honor or pride, I am protecting my family's well-being. And that requires me to be alive and well. So, if I am attacked by some trash thug, that is how one should expect me to respond.

I understand where you're coming from, but that mentality stops once you become an adult.

I think you are arguing against something that I am not supporting. I dont object to the fight itself, the outcome of the fight, the extra few punches, or even that there is a video which was posted online. If I have an issue with any of this, its the ridicule afterwards by the internet. Its like kicking a person who is already down and out. I just dont see the need for it.

I think it's human nature to enjoy seeing someone get their come-uppance. There are entire sites devoted to 'revenge porn', and this is basically the motherlode of that.

I don't like seeing physical violence, but I can definitively say that seeing a trash thug getting what they deserve is satisfying.

I see what you're saying and I understand people's penchant for enjoying revenge but I must say: What they deserve, and more importantly from our perspective as a civilized society, what WE deserve, is not people with brain damage due to multiple blows to the head causing them to more likely turn to a life of crime or be a burden on society.

If the choice is to either leave them with brain damage or have even an iota of risk of me getting shot... Yeah..... They get their ass wiped in a state rehab facility for the rest of their life for all I care.

Personally, I think if someone threatens your life in ANY way you should not stop defending yourself until they are deceased. That's the only guaranteed way to make sure they cannot shoot or stab you as you get up. It also rather cleanly handles the "burden on society" aspect.

It is highly debatable that the guy beat down was already just as likely to turn to a life of crime or be a burden on society prior to the brain damage. Things will work themselves out in the end.

Also, ridiculing on the internet is making some people in this thread upset? Come on, grow a thicker skin. That's part of living in the information age, it should be expected now.

he threw some horrible punches and connected well on only a few of them. The main reason he wooped the snot out of him at the end is because the guy's arms were contained in his sweater.

It's good to know there are some sane people that still post here, although apparently in the minority. All I saw in that video is a bunch of people with no class causing a scene and preventing people from leaving the gas station. I did get a laugh out of the poster suggesting Arizona "paper's please" bigotry would really prosecute the guy for assault.

Really? I see a thug going to intercept and attack an innocent redneck and getting stomped for it.

I wouldn't say I enjoyed the video, but it certainly isn't upsetting.
