Just because trump is winning all the time does not mean the war is over. Wars never end until the folks involved are dead.
Yaknow, true story, I have a beautiful 4 year old daughter. Curly blonde hair (still hasn't been cut), her mother's blue eyes. She's the reason I wake up in the morning. Please don't take that away from me just so Trump can win. Thanks in advance.

That's terrifying. That's the sort of thing future generations are going to see next to the infowars headlines on whatever the follow on to Ordinary Men is for what's happening now if things go really bad.

I likely won't be there if things go that bad and you and yours get real power. Then again, the postwar Germanies were organized in the camps, so maybe me or my ideas might survive. Yay?

And seriously, let's not mince words here. Even if you didn't think of it that way, you are justifying my death, and I don't take that particularly lightly. Have you stopped to wonder why we're talking about what benefits people and you're talking in terms of a war and death?

I am convinced a lot of these so called conservative posters on this forum are alts just having fun stirring dung up, no one could be that ubsurd.

Their putative arguments are too similar to right wing hugboxes. I don't think anyone could have the stomach to immerse themselves in that sort of muck just to repackage it for lulz.

And if you notice quite a few conservatives have been scarce around here lately.

When the going gets tough, the "tough" go away.

Or the rational do. I still believe there is a large number of honest conservatives out there that want nothing more to do with this administration, much less associating with the fray that surrounds it. The curious ones like HR and it seems Jaskalas remain engaged and reflective of what has come to pass. I think it's fair and understandable that enough feel rather scarred about their honest intentions lead them down this path of self destruction, so it's wound-licking time while they just abandon the fight for now, wait for a real solution in the conservative sphere to materialize (OK--it's been more than a 50 year wait for that to happen, but you know...patience. Trump has done all he can to force the GOP into an honest reckoning with himself.) Many voted for him simply to destroy the party, at whatever cost--whether those that identify with the GOP or don't, and much to the chagrin of those that actually care about this country. Those voters will declare a Trump presidency a win no matter how bad it gets, and especially if it sinks lower and lower. While I "get it," I have no respect for such people.

I've got at least one friend who's very unhappy with the realization that the GOP isn't her party, and it probably hasn't been for a while.

Honestly, as long as someone's not starting from the premise that they're right and evaluating everything to justify it, and are willing to accept that they might've been wrong, then I'm going to be absolutely civil. It just seems that that trait seems to be self-selecting out of the GOP's faustian bargain with its id.

No that isn't called a straw man.

However it's interesting that you think it is okay to completely delegitimize and destroy the American democratic process and a legally elected US President when he is a Democrat but not when he is a Republican.

I must have missed when people were organizing country wide protests, numerous members of Congress calling to for a President Elect to be removed before taking office, and then having 90+% of the news articles about them being negative against a Democrat.

Nope. I am, however, annoyed that petty children such as yourself treat this country as your sewer, thinking that national and foreign policy are simply your playthings on anonymous internet forums that have no real life consequences.

Maybe when you grow up and learn to own your failure, people will treat you with the respect that you clearly do not yet deserve.

Hello Pot, I'm Kettle.

Yeah, it's almost as if Barack Obama and Donald Trump are two totally different people.

lol. Get it yet?

Why is your golden boy entitled to being showered in the same quality of coverage for a radically different candidacy and presidency? The protests were earned.
