Nah I didn't beat mirror's edge. I did play it and never got into it. Didn't like it at all.

Batman on the other hand...absolutely one of the best action games of the last 2 years. Also somewhat of a sandbox game with Arkham City.

BD is all RIGGHT but I am on a Phenom II x4 B55 @ 3.5Ghz and it does everything I need/want to with no problems or concerns so an 8150 would be an astronomical leap in performance for me when I OC it albeit a leap I don't need/want at this point in time. If you haven't yet figured out whats up and wrong with Apple and Console gaming at leased in a general sense then I suggest you just go join the Army LOL. All the best 🙂

Compare the PS3 or the iPad to crack? I own an iPad because I wanted a tablet and it is still the most supported one out there with the most software and apps. It doubles as my e-reader. Apple has products that appeal to some people. I like the iPad but hate the iPhone. You are allowed to do that.

D3 sucks IMHO and although I can understand and respect what D2 brought to the table & accomplished back in it's day I for one did not get into PC gaming and tech until 06 so D2 was quite a bit before my time as a PC gamer although I would have loved it back in it's prime day. D2 was great back in the day cause Internet was suckey and expensive but D3 cannot hide under the coattails of an era passed and be acceptable in today's day and age IMHO.

@ 1600P you probably wont notice Uber sampling because what it does is add a very EXTREME high quality level of AA so being that you use 1600P the image lines are already so sharp and defined it really can't get a whole lot better than that. With Uber sampling on in the Witcher 2 it looks absolutely stunning @ 1050P or 1080P but framerate takes a dive so most people play with it off.

Ok. It seems it is definitely a form of super-sampling AA. (highly likely to be OGSSAA, too.)

You're right. I played around with Ubersampling on vs off.

The difference is just not easily noticeable at 2560x1600.

During gameplay, I could tell whether it's on or off by frame rate counter, not by image quality.
For this, I had to disable AfterBurner framerate limiter. Otherwise, I couldn't tell the difference as framerate would be always locked at 60fps.

With off, fps usually hovers around 150~160. With Ubersampling on, it hovers around 70~80 with occasional drop below 60 (into 50s).

These are in lossless PNG. Files sizes are about 7~8MB each.

I think there will be better spot for looking straight down the road for AF quality comparisons between Ubersampling on and off. But I'm only early in the game, and currently I'm stuck in this town. Don't know what to do next to get out of this town.

From those last two shots it looks like Upersampling gives more realistic lighting. The leaves on the tree are a more natural looking green vs looking like they are radioactive in the first pic. Unless the game has day/night cycles and they were taken at different times of day.

He's actually basing it in reviews, your basing your opinion on overclock ability. I'd say he's more in the right than you are. For most games, stock vs stock or clock vs clock he is correct.

AMD FX processors are definitely not cut for gaming. They not only get completely destroyed by Intel’s Core i5 and Core i3, but also yield even to their own predecessors from the Phenom II family.
