Made me love her. Guilt tripped me into doing what I didn't want to. Thats about it, nothing great.

I'm sure I told this one before so I'll be brief, if you want details, PM me.
1). Met the girl in college
2). Fell in love *gag*
3). Dated for nearly 5 years, got engaged
4). Girl was cheating with another guy (told me he was a silly kid friend, like a brother)
5). Found out 6 months before graduation, had already turned down jobs from companies like Intel, HP, etc. to move to her country (New Zealand)
Girl had her friends cover for her lie, girl's sister unknowingly gave me timeline of events--pieced truth together
Girl used her best friend in the lie--told me girl was hooking up said guy with her best friend, when asked best friend knew of no such thing.
Girl mails back engagement ring in padded envelope with no insurance, delivery confirmation, nothing.
Girl never told me what happened even till this day, this was about 3 years ago.
I know it's not good to dwell on the past, but despite having learned a valuable lesson, it still hurts/angers me when I remember--that was almost 5 years of my life I'll never get back.

Told my friends I wasn't good in bed.
Was she fibbing, or are you just pissed the truth got out?
She hadn't enough experience to be judging. Barely teenagers, but apparently it made the rounds. I didn't get many dates afterwards till I switched high schools.

Nothing bad has happened to me... yet. Just turned 20 and I've never dated a girl... (yes, by choice). I figure give them a bit of time to mature so I don't get griefed and torn apart like some people in this thread...

"Excuse me miss, my friend had to go do some stuff and she wanted me to return this item for her. She only used it once and didnt like it. Can she get a refund? Heres the papers."
She takes the cold cream and says "sure let me go do something first".
5 minutes later she comes back.
"Sir, this isnt Estee Lauder cold cream. This is Jergens thats been in the fridge overnight."
Me: "Huh?!?"
"Yessir, she used up all of our product and then put Jergens in there.
You need to tell her she cant do that and then return it."
Dumbass: "OK, thanks ma'am."
About 500 hours later she finally gets done with skirts and blouses and everything and she finds me on the bench by the Orange Julius. Told her what happened and she played dumb, not to mention angry.
I just looked at her.

I calmly asked the guy to leave and he dressed himself and left without speaking a word. Which I'm glad because I was very upset at the time. I spent about an hour or so there after he left before leaving myself. The guy she was sleeping with died a week later in some type of mishap at a mental institution - apparently he had severe problems and was seeking treatment when it occured. It really scared me knowing that he was around our daughter just a week earlier.
I tried to be civil about it all due to us having a child and offered to fully support her while she got her life in order. This approach failed and I took her to court repeatedly over a 2 year period. This was in the early 90s and at the time a father was pretty much screwed unless he was married to the female. I offered child support and every rational thing a caring father could do to see his child when taking her to court. She kept declining my offers and basically used our child as a pawn to hurt me. Eventually I dismissed it all and went on with my life. It was my only option at this point because it was killing me. To this day I've never seen our daughter since the day I left and really doubt I ever will.

I wish you the best Stumps if your current situation becomes worse. I could not have seen my daughter legally. I would have had to broken the law myself and most likely taken others lives to raise her. A fugitive really cant father a child under good conditions. It really wasnt a matter of accepting the circumstances or a definite outcome, instead it was doing what was best for the child and myself at the time.
Thats a very good question and I'm glad somebody asked it because its the one part of the story lacking in details.Originally posted by: animalia
Maybe SHE DID ONLY USE IT ONCE? maybe the clerk was lying to you just to be a jerk. There is the female you probably shouldnt have trusted. Maybe your friend wasn't lying. How the hell could the clerk tell it was jergens? She was probably in an entirely different dept. Ever think maybe that was the case before entirely changing your bias? the bias I might add you based on one experience.
Now listen closely folks because this is important:
When you're 17 and cant play sports and dont get straight A's and arent even allowed to hang out with the nerds and the punks think you're too dull and the goths think you're too "brainwashed" and and the teachers think you're going nowhere and a beautiful girl says "Your gonna be somebody", then, well, I cant describe it.
You actually have to be there to understand.
