Like I said, I'm not going to debate the validity of the war in this thread. That has been discussed enough in the months leading up to the election, and didn't make much difference since Bush was re-elected. Your arguments are moot now. Go home.

How many times do i need to post that we dont hate the gays, we hate their sin!

Sorry, actions speak louder than words.

If you're speaking about banning homosexual marriage, instituting homosexuality is about as palatable to many people as is institutionalizing prostitution. (Both actions are consensual, aren't they?)

There are other threads about gay marriage. I was saying actions speak louder than words when it comes to fundies claiming they love gays.

Love doesn't always mean "support the wishes of."

I drove past a church sign that said, "God is Pro Life" and I felt like screaming, SO STOP KILLING IRAQI WOMEN AND CHILDREN!!!!!

I don't think it is justifiable. But that's just my opinion.

Isla, don't be ridiculous. We're not in Iraq to kill innocent women and children. I'm not saying it hasn't unintentionally happened, but we're not out to kill them. You go to an abortion clinic for one reason only.

I'm not being ridiculous because I believe that the war in Iraq is not valid. But you don't want to discuss that here.

You love drug addicts, but don't buy them smack.

You should be honest with yourself, you have no quailifications to be theologian.

Who said anything about being a theologian?

Yes, how about LOVING people enough to want them to be in happy in relationships or be free to do as they please as long as they harm no one else?
Sounds like those here know the sin of others real well. As I recall Jesus said, Judge not lest you be judged - remove the log from your own eye and you will see clealy what is in your brothers.

You all ever read the Old Testament?

Christians didn't throw out the Old Testament that I know of...

I prefer to wonder about What Would Moses do or What Would David Do?

There's enough smiting & smoting in the OT to justify anything;)

Actually my favorite is What Would Willie Nelson Do?

But those of us who oppose homosexual marriage DO perceive that such marriages will harm the country, as has been discussed many times before on this board.

Yes, and you've been asked how it could possibly hurt something as nubulous and subjective as the "instituition" of marriage to which the response has been that it would "dilute the value" of marriage which brought about the question "how the hell would a gay couple 200 miles away from you make your marriage less stable" to which a response has not yet been given.

Nah, remember God is all powerful and all knowing. Bush is here as a test for us. 51% are failing miserably ;)

Why do you think that writers of the sign are killing Iraqi women and children? Seems unlikely as they would have to be here to write it.
