White. I didn't think it was Muslim because Muslim terrorists try to do mass scale attack for maximum damage. They're smarter than to go in with 2 pistols.

What was so ignorant about his post? Obviously crimes have happened in the past, and there are statistics on those crimes. If you look at the statistics, you'll see that certain trends develop.

Are you saying that he was on the wrong track? Statistically speaking, he's probably much closer to the truth than you are.

hm...you don't get out much do you? from my experience - Women are typically better shots than men, hell my parents met on their high school rifle team, and that was Falls Church High School - this is in Northern VA just outside DC btw.

Women are not better shots than men. If you look at the high scores of shooting tournaments, the men's scores are better than the women's scores.

Black guy: Would have run around naked shooting wildly
Muslim guy: Would have made a video of it and blown himself up

Never crossed my mind to question the race, but I would have guessed deranged white male.

Both because of statistics and because by default, white is what I am I'm used to seeing in the mirror everyday, so when I think of just 'person' I usually assume white by default.

Yea.. that's what I thought too. I was kind of surprised myself. Call me ignorant, but public perception has led me to think this way.

Except all 31 weren't in the same room or the same building. Nor does it take much skill to stand in the only opening to a room of unsuspecting noncombatants and eliminate most of them. Even assuming he only had one of the pistols drawn at the time, the probability of any in the room in a condition to think of rushing him when he changed clips is very low.
 
I walked into a drug store at 6:00 this morning and there were two black guys joking around with the cashier who was also black. They were yukking it up about the massacre and saying that only white guys go crazy and do that kind of stuff.

Someone on these forums from Virginia Tech said yesterday that it was an Asian guy who was the perpetrator. So I took a chance, and said to the guy behind the counter, "you know it was an Asian, not a white guy that killed those people." (This was before the official announcement this morning). They all looked at me, and suddenly the laughfest was over.

I left the store wondering if my claim was true.
