What race did you think the killer was before the info was released?

I thought he would just be some white kid. I guess thats cause I am white and the majority of kids on campus were probably white as well.

My Muslims friends were telling me that one of the things that came to mind when they heard about it was "oh god please dont let him be muslim"

Personally in my mind I first thought he was white because of Columbine

I was just too shocked to hear about the news that I really didn't think about the shooter's race. I just thought that the shooter must've been really angry and selfish to do such a thing. However, after the initial shock, I pictured the shooter as some emo, trench-coat wearing, white kid. I supposed the damage from Columbine is still lingering in my head.

to the people who are saying when they heard about it that they didnt think about race..thats bs. You might not have consciously thought about it and deducted what race the guy is but when you here this kind of news you instantly get a mental picture of the situation. You can't have an image of someone without imagining race or color...that would just be a colorless person.

A golf playing, vineyard owning, 3/4ths time dancing, escargot eating, monocle wearing, new world colonizing white man.

Naturally, my first thought was black, but then I considered that blacks aren't usually associated in random mass murders. They tend to kill eachother, and often with good reason, disrespecting the homies.

Then I settled on white, because whites tend to be ****** up 'that way'.

My order of likelyhood was as follows.

1. White
2. Black
3. Middle Eastern
4. Asian

Surprised the ****** out of me, that's for sure.

Now who is prejudicing? What makes you so sure of other people's thought process? I couldn't care less about the race of the shooter. A nut is a nut.

What????? is Nutball a race? I thought it was just some crazy guy, didn't even think about what race, I was pretty sure it was a male.
What a stupid thing to say, of course it was a male. Since when are women capable of operating a firearm?

Honestly? Eskimo.

There is only so far you can push those people. They've been pushed to the brink of 'berg enough by "The Man" 😱😀

What if it were a pygmy, though? No one would suspect those cute little critters.

Perhaps the most ignorant post of this thread. Very revealing too.

hm...you don't get out much do you? from my experience - Women are typically better shots than men, hell my parents met on their high school rifle team, and that was Falls Church High School - this is in Northern VA just outside DC btw.
