I didn't think of race when I first heard about it. I'm not sure when that part of it would've crossed my mind (the part where people were getting shot was more at the forefront), but the first time I considered race at all was when I heard that the guy was an Asian.

FYI - There have been numerous incidents in the last few years of crazy guys that were Muslim that attacked people and they weren't called terrorist attacks.

There was one an incident at U of North Carolina where a Muslim drove his SUV into a crowd on campus.

There was another incident in Seattle or San Fran (can't remember which) where a Muslim cabbie was trying to run over people outside of a synagogue.

There was another incident where a Muslim man shot some people at LAX.

None were called terrorist attacks by the government.
