Edit: And Slick, don't judge scotch by Johnny Red. Next time you're in a decent restaurant or pub, ask what single malts they have. Order something reccommended in this thread. Try it with water on the side, so that if the burn takes away from the taste, you can dribble a little (AND i MEAN A LITTLE) water into it to take the edge off. once you start appreciating the taste of halfway decent stuff, you'll never go back.
