No, they can't.
I found widgets on Android useless. The drop down on iOS has replaced the only widget worth having - time/weather.
No, they can't.
Yea, please find posts where I've shown that I'm a fanboy.
I don't use any Apple stuff except the iPhone. I've used a Galaxy Nexus for 7 months. I've used a Nexus 7 for 4 months. How am I even biased?
I've criticized both Apple and Android. What I find funny is that Android users thinks iOS is inferior because it's designed differently.
it's inferior because it's locked down. If the user like Apple's rules in technology, then the iOS is for him/her.
If you want "smoothness", then nothing beats WM8.

it's statements like these that make a person a fanboy. it's not like Google does't make decisions for you.
Google says that you don't get SD cards. Google says that you don't get capacitive keys anymore. Your 4.7" is not 4.7" It's 4.5". Too bad. When Google makes decisions that you have to accept it's fine, but when Apple does it, it's the most evil thing in the world. At least Apple thinks about what works well and what doesn't.
When Google said that 256mb onboard memory is fine and it's meant to curtail pirating, tell those Droid users who couldn't install crap worth apps unless they moved Dalvik to SD. And even then that brought their onboard memory up to like 220mb only. Apps2sd doesn't solve it if that's what you're thinking because certain apps require storage on the SD card.
It took phone makers months to realize this (SGS1) before it was corrected. But of course Google can make calls like that and not be made fun of.

That's not a valid reason for being inferior. Apple locked down on a few things that Android leaves open but the default things can be better than whatever you customized on Android.
Never used WM8 but I noticed no slowdowns at all on iOS like I have on Android using Galaxy Nexus.

Since 4.1 your phone vibrates regardless of the app setting. Gmail vibrates on every new email in vibrate mode despite the vibrate button being unchecked inapp. IT's a global setting Google applies across apps. Glad they really care for customization.
So it's quite fair to use subsidized prices as that is what the majority here do.

I'm in 4.1 on my HTC rezound and none of my apps are set to vibrate on notifications or emails. It did at first, I went to settings, notifications, turned that off. Never vibrated after that no matter how many messages I got.

The term "locked down" refers to software, not hardware.
He's talking about some HTC phone that probably runs sense. But maybe instead of dancing around this forum as the biggest fanboy with NO quality in any of your posts, how about you eat your words::thumbsup:
I haven't used this word for 5 years since college, but "pwned" comes to mind.
Then why do we have Android devices with SD card slots?Google says that you don't get SD cards.
Then why do we have Android devices with capacitive keys?Google says that you don't get capacitive keys anymore.
Or 4", 4.3", 4.8", 5", 5.5". Did you just try to use screen size as an argument against Android?Your 4.7" is not 4.7" It's 4.5".
so wrong on so many levels, as proven above. I'll just touch your first point. I see plenty of capacitive buttons on Android phones.
There, Google doesn't make that decision for me. Since your first point is completely invalid, I will skip the rest of none-sense as I always do.
You can always hope that someone will build a phone with SD cards, but the Nexus phones that everyone swears by here will never have an SD card. Do I have a choice for AOSP? Apparently not. Then why do we have Android devices with SD card slots?
See above. Then why do we have Android devices with capacitive keys?

That's because people don't use widgets to their potential. Most people just dump them on their boring grid homescreen and call it good. Go to mycolorscreen.com and see what type of UI mods are capable if you know what you're doing with widgets.
