It'd surely be something interesting for physics: Determining what ghosts are made of. If they can occupy the same space as ordinary matter at the same time, maybe it could also be possible to make a computer chip out of ghostmatter. Ghosts in photos generally are clothed, and sometimes still have jewelry and glasses, so even inorganic matter can be transmuted to ghostmatter.

.eps is an anagram of ESP. Coincident? I think not.

if everyone who ever died turned in to a ghost wouldn't the afterlife be crowded as fuck?

I believe in God and the after life. I am a Christian. All things God created into the spirit before He made them into Flesh. We are all immortal souls.

Why would God bother resurrecting the people they like if those people are really just souls? Is God the ultimate troll? "Yeah we're going to hang out for eternity bro, but you're gonna have to stay in that irrelevant flesh-sleeve, naked souls are indecent and you know this is a classy place."

Pro tip: the Jews never thought souls were a thing, which is why the resurrection was a big deal. Souls are just leftover baggage from the Greek schools of thought that the developing Christian culture enveloped. You don't need to be an atheist to see that dualism is garbage.

Depends. They might cluster together as social organisms, or they might be subject to something like electrostatic repulsion, and will involuntarily spread out to fill the available volume.

If ghosts are dark matter, they would still be subject to gravity. They're just as stuck as the living. Maybe that's why we bury people.
But if hauntings are still happening, burying seems to be ineffective.
If they're subject to gravity, a black hole should be a sufficiently deep gravity well to bury them in.

What do I have to do to get the 72 virgins in my afterlife? Sign me up for that shit, please.

I agree it would be interesting if paranormal things were real, then they could be investigated scientifically instead of with random ass-pulling, but if I have to be crazy to see them then I don't think it's worth the trouble.
I've long thought that the existence of "ghosts" could be a weird physics quirk(different universe?), and not dead people. That's why I keep up some interest. Something like that doesn't require magic, though I suppose it sort of is. Quantum physics is kind of like magic. There's sure to be other weird shit out there. We just have to find it.

That's been my favorite personal theory as well - it's some fluke of parallel universes within the omniverse and how they are linked to one another through some property of the entire multi-dimensional construct of the universes.

And the existence of the latter, at least, also leads to black holes that link to white holes (or at least another black hole that can act as a white hole for the black hole at the other end of the tunnel), and again parallel dimensions, and also the idea that M-theory is in fact our reality.

What-ifs - I love them. Scientific what-ifs fill my personal spirituality requirements. They make me happy, give me something to long for, with a shred of possibility of discovery (of anything) within my lifetime. :)

It would open up a whole new world of efficacious insults.

What if people had color change baboon butts? Jeans would be totally different.

The mood ring industry would never have existed.

...the expression "you're lying out your ass" would also have a lot more subtext.
