Yes, the Beretta M9 is the standard issue handgun of the Italian army. We're talking about the US ARMY here where the desert eagle reigns supreme!
Since when? We began receiving M9s in 1987. I have not heard anything about Desert Eagle pistols used by active units at all, save for maybe a few SF or Delta Force people. In fact, the logisitical dilemma involved with ammo and spare parts for that weapon would be a nightmare.

Ehh, he's already admitted to have been trolling.

This forum is full of people who think they know things they don't.

Like heroin, and how good it is.

In all fairness, the internet is full of morons who claim to know things that aren't true - you just flew under the radar for a while . . .
If by a little while you mean the time it takes to detonate nuclear weapons in every major city in the US, then you are correct

Considering in the Marines everyone has to do tours in the MEU, and MEUs come up against resistence more than you would think, and the fact that Marines are the first to fight, I'd say much more than you think.
Uh... yeah... consider that I was a Marine, I think I do know a little or two about how things work. Except for those on embassy duty, no one should need a fcuking pistol. Do you even know what a MEU is comprised of? without googling?
Marine Expeditionary Unit. Thanks. What division did you serve in, what was your rank, and what was your MOS?
3rd, I was a Sgt when I left, and I'm a winger, smarter than your average bear. And no, I didn't need a fcuking pistol, and no, no one else in my unit would have need one either. Why you ask, have a thing for men in uniform?

Yea, I do have a thing for men in uniform. I'll soon be one, I'm in PLC right now, and I'm going Career. I just like to get to know fellow jarheads. Where we you stationed?

Awesome. I've just never heard of a Marine thinking he didn't need a pistol. Blew my mind. Maybe that's why your username is "cr4zymofo." ;)

Ahh, ok. I thought it odd, since PM4E never struck me as being "that way"

I have seen so many morons though that it made absolutely no impact on me ;)

Dude, honestly, in today's military, except for very few individuals, close range combat is a thing of the past. If they didn't have to issue pistol to all the damn officers, that would save a lot of money. And you honestly think that an officer will ever get to use his pistol? If one ever does, you'll see it on CNN as news of the century. The last century, they did use it, but not this one my friend.

Nah, I'm a sweet guy. There's just a bunch of wannabe know-it-all gun experts in this thread. They all saw me as an easy target... THEY WERE WRONG!
