LOL! Gun expert, huh? I am merely an avid shooter (and military member, as it happens), but I still know it is laughable to say the Army's standard-issue pistol is a $1,200 gun whose ammo costs many times more than standard 9mm NATO ammo.

PowerMac............ if you can't believe a military dude. who can you believe? :Q

Cheers,

I've been shooting for 30+ years. I consider myself a gun EXPERT of over 20 years experience. I THINK I would know just a little about this issue wouldn't you?

Just because you shoot for 30+ years (and you said 20+ year in an earlier post) does not mean squat. Are you in the military now? Don't you think all of the militatry people in hear are lieing?

Look like it cost more then $300 to me

You would... but you are wrong.
For every link you can find saying I'm wrong, I'll find ten links proving me right. The desert eagle is currently the standard issue handgun of the UNITED STATES ARMY.

Fool, Magnum makes magnum revolvers, NOT DESERT EAGLES. Perhaps they purchased a license or something to make desert eagles. I can go to my local gun store and buy a US ARMY-issue-style desert eagle for $225 right now! The Army pays like $150 for them!

Yes, the Beretta M9 is the standard issue handgun of the Italian army. We're talking about the US ARMY here where the desert eagle reigns supreme!

Considering in the Marines everyone has to do tours in the MEU, and MEUs come up against resistence more than you would think, and the fact that Marines are the first to fight, I'd say much more than you think.
Uh... yeah... consider that I was a Marine, I think I do know a little or two about how things work. Except for those on embassy duty, no one should need a fcuking pistol. Do you even know what a MEU is comprised of? without googling?

EDIT: Oh.. and pilots... they need pistols... Just incase they go down.... so they can bravely fight their way out, in stead of becoming prisoners. So the Marines don't have to go and get them.

Marine Expeditionary Unit. Thanks. What division did you serve in, what was your rank, and what was your MOS?

EDIT: Oh, comprised. Yea. Ground Combat, Aviation, Compat Service, and Command.

3rd, I was a Sgt when I left, and I'm a winger, smarter than your average bear. And no, I didn't need a fcuking pistol, and no, no one else in my unit would have need one either. Why you ask, have a thing for men in uniform?
