What kind of hot sauce? For burritos, I like El Yucateco green, or one of the Costa Rican habanero sauces.
Green and red from the place I got the burrito. I love El Yucateco. I got their Habenaro and grilled Pineapple last month it's outstanding if you like heat with some sweet.

Got stabbed by a pine needle under my finger nail and it hurts like hell. I was wearing gloves too but one actually got inside I guess. Think it got semi infected so it's taking longer to heal.

I got a... spicy quote for what I expected to be a relatively small amount of plumbing work

1. Set customers sink. Connect to the existing 2" vent for both in basement , 2 x 1 1/2" san-tee, 1 1/2" "90" , 10 ft 1 1/2"PVC, 1 1/2" trap, 1 1/2 x 12 tailpiece extension.
2. Starting at the water heater, run 1/2" copper hot and cold , 2 each 3/4" x 1/2" tees, 6 each 90's, 2 angle stops, 2 lavsupplies. 40 ft 1/2 " copper ( see drawing )
3. Cut into 3/8" propane line in basement ceiling. 3/8" comp tee, 3/8" valve , 30ft 3/8" copper , 3/8 drop ear ell.

Job cost
$3,636.93

Does that seem reasonable?

That does seem really steep, but all those fittings and pipe do add up I guess then add labour costs. Everything just costs so much now days it's insane. Was looking at insulation and WTF. $100+ for a single bundle of Roxul now days. We are being robbed by inflation.

This was a few days ago but accidentally put a few holes in my tent. I guess I really should have moved it when the fire got this big lol.

We were working through some wood piles from when they cleared the land, original plan was to keep the wood and buck it for firewood, but most of it was not really suitable firewood and was soaking wet from sitting out in the open and it was just easier to toss everything in burn pile than to start cutting all branches and separating logs. We kept a few of the better ones and that's it. At some point that fire was really roaring, that pic is when we took a break so it died down.

Also realized it's futile trying to do it all by hand. So much back and forth walking with branches. Either need to come up with a way to haul more at once, maybe a large float of sorts I can pull with the ATV, or just rent an excavator. The cutting is not the hard part, it's the hauling.

You could get a rope winch, build a sledge and haul big piles around limited only by the length of rope you have. Good winches are expensive, but you'll always have it.

Was thinking something like that, or just use the ATV. Basically just need to build a trailer/wagon I can then pull with it. I'd be somewhat limited to weight unlike a winch but still less trips than carrying by hand.

Winch is an idea too, even a 12v one would do, I would set it up on a dolly so it's easy to move around and the dolly would house the battery and accessories too and it would also be itself tied up to a tree or something. I'd setup a remote so I can be away from the firing range of cable if it snaps. I'd end up using that rig for all sorts of things, like even raising walls when I start my build.

I have been setting money aside for a new car. I got a small inheritance, not much but enough to put a large down payment on the car I wanted.

A few days ago I was trying to figure out how much I could afford with financing, insurance and still paying on my student loans. I had the car picked out. After a few beers and figuring out how much I was going to be paying on interest on my student loans I said FUCK IT. I paid off my student loans. Then I paid every credit card I have off, which wasnt a lot ( I am responsible) Then I paid off my phones.

I was happy. I didnt owe anyone anything.

I got home and went to make sure all my payments went through and t-mobile says I don't get bill credits for my trade ins now. My student loans say I have one more payment for interest or some crap.

Yeah better off paying that off. I consider myself lucky I graduated with profit, never took loans in college and would work a summer job.

That's why I got another used truck, trying to pay off my mortgage and credit line before I go into debt for a vehicle. Well still ended up adding to the debt but 11k is better than like 80k.

Today's FWP is Quebec's power grid. That seems to be a nightly occurrence but tonight is especially bad. Huge area without power and the ETR was now moved to noon. FFS. The system we use to do call outs is complete garbage now so trying to figure out who to call for what area is a guessing game at best. They told us to not worry about calling out for DMS 1Us anymore, we actually let them drop but the bigger buildings we still call out on to send a generator. Already got one down to 47 volts so it won't last the night.

My boss said he wants to look at offloading after hours dispatch so we don't have to do that legwork, but who knows when that will happen. I'd like if they juts fixed the callout system in the meantime.

Speaking of shitty systems another change they recently made is a "new and improved intranet". You now need to enter your credentials + securID every time you want to look at anything on it. It has a unified authentication system for your convenience, but their idea of unified is that each section requires you to login again. The old one you just go to it and everything you needed to see was there.

I have a Logitech G9 that's been going since 2009. I replaced it with a G502 Proteus in 2015 which I'm currently using.
The quoted post is from April 9th. I jinxed myself by bragging about my G9. Last week my spare computer started locking up. I noticed some of the lights on the mouse were blinking. I replaced the G9 with another mouse and it and the PC worked fine.

So my new truck has some weird electrical issue and now won't start. It started fine the first time but forgot wallet in house so stopped it so I can go get it and now it doesn't even recognize the key or anything, even the power door locks don't work, it's like if the battery is disconnected. The whole reason I bought it was to get rid of the old one which has issues starting and now I have to deal with this again. Apparently disconnecting and reconnecting the battery gets it going again since it's caused by some weird computer glitch but I don't have time in the morning to deal with BS like that I just need to be able to get in and go to work. Had to take the old truck to work.

About ready to just sell both and buy something new, fuck it. So sick and tired of this bullshit. Thing is the newer ones are not any more reliable, they all have tons of electronics now. That's usually what fails or causes problems.

Some chip is failing, maybe some faulty electrical component somewhere or the truck's rtos just needs to be rebooted. If it's the last one, maybe there's a way to reboot it without disconnecting the battery?

Don't waste money on something new. You already complain too much. I don't want to hear more from you, Mr. (I've got a house AND off-grid property) whereas I'm almost a digital nomad and I wish I just had even an illegal Cheez hut so I could live there in relative peace for a few months or years until my declining health would let me punch out.

I think I'll end up just putting a disconnect but make it external so I don't have to pop the hood or manually unlock the door each time. I'm going to look at getting an autostarter installed, maybe just the act of getting that installed will bypass lot of the computer components in the existing ignition system and hopefully the problem just goes away.

When a day starts off bad it just keeps snowballing.

Just got a power bump at work and lost the network. It's slowly coming back up but have to relogin to everything. Lot of stuff is not coming back up so will probably have to call someone. This is a fairly regular occurrence too, happens at least once a week.

It's actually kinda funny as my power at home is more stable than at work now. All my stuff is on inverter at home so zero interruption if power goes out, not even a blip. It's SUPPOSE to be on inverter at work but the inverter has been down for several months now.

So my dad decided to go check it out and turns out the battery cable was loose. I didn't have time to start messing with anything since I had to go to work but wish I would have at least had the time to pop the hood and check real quick as I would have probably caught that.

It's weird though, because it literally started like a minute before that not to mention I drove it around before, so I just automatically assumed it was something electronic.
