I hate wasting stuff. I have half a packet of oat biscuits left. Expiry was 20th June. Will finish it.
I can appreciate that, and I'm wired that way myself, but consider you're paying to actively make yourself unhappy. The money's spent regardless. Too late now, but it might've worked better as an iced tea, or a flavoring agent for something else.

Retinal eye exam about an hour ago. My eyes are currently dilated and can't read hardly anything on y screen right now at work! Good news is my eyes are doing pretty well and she said I should be able to hold off any cataract surgery, and I don't need to come back until 6 months instead of quarterly like I've been doing.

Maybe but I actually feel some weird sensation in the back of my head when sipping it. Almost like a few million neurons fainting or something.

I did the cataract surgery in Nov. 2023. I HATE having my eyes dilated...and for that procedure, they take dilation to a whole new level. As unpleasant as the idea of having them cut on the eyes was...the difference was amazing. When they did the first one, I was astounded by the change in colors. The "old" eye was like looking at the world through a window that was discolored by 40 years of cigarette smoke...kind of brownish and dingy, while the "new" eye was bright and clean...with vibrant colors. I still have to wear glasses...I didn't get quite as much improvement in my overall vision as promised, but it's still an improvement.

Yea I actually have the cataract consultation next Friday with a different dr. that would be performing the surgery if I decide to go through with it.

I go to wegmans once a month, or a bit more to pickup some stuff I like, and get more "deluxe" stuff than is available at aldi. One of the things I most look forward to is sushi for breakfast. They didn't have any ready when I was finished shopping. I hung around another ~10 minutes , but still no sushi appeared. I had to settle for pork pot stickers :^(

One restaurant destroyed my expectations by cancelling my order without a reason. So I simply stopped ordering from there. I was really looking forward to having their item on my only off day but they lost my business completely by crushing the hopes of the wrong person.

Restaurants don't get many chances from me unless their food is exceptional. There was a bar/restaurant near me(now closed) that consistently had the worst service I've ever experienced, and that persisted >1yr, so it wasn't just a 'bad day'.

However, they had a chicken tender wrap you could get any of their wing sauces on, and they had a 'nuclear' wing sauce that lived up to it's billing. It came with warnings on the menu, and the waiter would try to talk you out of it. It was amazing! It was worth the terrible service to be able to get something truly hot. I could count the places on two fingers that served legit hot food. The one in this post closed, and the Indian place quit serving really hot food when ownership(?)/personnel changed to pan Asian. IOW, there's no place left I'm aware of that serves hot food.

Ordered strawberry juice from somewhere and got delivered something that barely resembled what I know to be strawberry juice. It was thick, almost white with hints of red color and very frothy. It didn't taste awful but I'm still wondering what kind of strawberries they used that make juice like that. Maybe they made the juice from unripe strawberries.

Sounds more like a smoothie than juice, but I don't know what you could expect where you live.

Maybe dairy product, or whipped at high speed to introduce air. I'm not super familiar with smoothies cause they're expensive, and I'm not a big fan of fruit juice.

I'm not a big fan of fruit juice.
I have a limited list of fruit juices I drink every now and then.

Watermelon, sweet melon, grapefruit, orange (not a fan but better than nothing), lime juice, strawberry, pineapple, guava.

Mango juice only if I get the rare but really awful sinus infection.

All of them freshly squeezed. None of the crap supermarket concentrate variety.

Roofers came to check for the leak, was shoving hose everywhere trying to figure out how it's coming in, finally found where, it was where soffit meets the roof, really tight and awkward area. I guess the wind has to be just right for it to shove water in there which explains why I had no leaks during some rain then leaks during other times, was hit and miss. Now that they know where at least this should be the end of that problem once they fix it. They'll also fix the drywall damage after once they confirm it's good.

Got a new Soxhlet extractor and it has a little glass sphere on one of its tubes, the siphon, which my other does not. This means that it's very easy to break if you hold it wrong, which I did.

I tried fixing it quickly with some silicone tubing, but it wouldn't pull a vacuum. When I'm less annoyed I'll try to fix it with actual glass.

I signed up for a free 30 day trial of Paramount+ in April and again in May of 2022. It never ended, and they never billed me. If I tried to cancel, I got an error. OK, free forever.

I only use it in lousy weather, when my OTA antenna doesn't work. like today. So I went to login, and it wants me to sign up for a new 7 day trial. They have finally cancelled it. :( I know it still worked last week, bummer.

It definitely must have had something milk related and in large amount because I spent last night and all of today dealing with a most debilitating sinus headache. First, I got a really bad sore throat (the one where you have trouble swallowing). Been almost 23 hours that I haven't eaten or even had a glass of water. Body kept making lots of pee.
