Super busy day today. Kept checking the Kings-Warriors score hoping I would have time to watch game 7. Score was extremely close through half time but once I finally had a chance to sit down and turn it on in the 4th quarter the Warriors were up by 20 and Sacramento had already folded.

I had a really long week at work & didn't get a chance to go shopping, so I hit up Walmart late last night. Tons of people there...NOT A SINGLE HUMAN BEING AT CHECKOUT! Literally 18 aisles COMPLETELY EMPTY! They had exactly two people running self-checkout, plus a security guard at the exit. I was fortunate to get in line before it got mega-long, but I couldn't believe it. It's the most dystopian thing I've seen in recent memory lol. I had 4 giant bags of groceries (I vac-seal & freeze everything), so it took fooooooorever to do self-checkout. It felt so ultra-capitalistic. Yuck!

Walmart's the fucking worst. They have hot sauce there I'd like to get, it's .25 mile from my house, but I can't bring myself to go there and deal with them.

I hate how every place is practically forcing self checkouts now. I try to avoid them but sometimes they don't even have anyone at all at the regular cashes. There's a grocery store here that sells alcohol now, so once in a while I decide to grab a beer or bottle of wine with my groceries but if you do go to the regular cash, you need to go to the self checkout for the alcohol, but then when you punch it in, it will make you wait for someone to come check you out anyway. So dumb.

Post a CrystalDiskInfo screenshot.

If you can, install Speedfan and post the HDDstatus graph screenshot.

Checked real quick, didn't get a chance to take screenshot and upload it somewhere but there were around 120 sector errors, so yeah think that drive is on it's way out. Surprisingly, still shows 100% life left which seems a bit sus to me. Then again that machine is either off or sits idle most of the time, and games don't write a lot to disk, so maybe that's accurate. That drive was used in my main machine originally though but don't think I used it that long.

Either way I probably should be looking at doing a full OS reload of that machine and going with Windows 10. Don't really want to mess with doing a work around to get windows 11 to work so I'll just go with 10. I will get a 1TB SSD at the same time when I do that. In fact I can probably just setup dual boot and keep the old drive in there, just not as primary.

A. Real Humans never go to Wally.

B. If I EVER see a store with no humans checking, my entire cart, no matter how bad I want what's in it, will be left in one of the checkout aisles.

I was trying to dial into a site to check voltage and noticed there was two entries in Procomm so deleted the duplicate, but it somehow deleted both. Now it won't let me re-add it because it says it already exists.

Tried to use AT commands instead of procomm but I'm getting no carrier. I might be doing it wrong.

Actually this feels more like a 3rd world problem, why can't they put IP based RTUs at these sites!

Just ran into a FWP: e2resizefs does not support resizing a volume to a size larger than 16TB without dismounting the volume to set the 64 bit flag on the file system.

I was able to specify 16TB though, and the array is around 19TB, so close enough.

Kinda funny to be playing with disk volumes like this at home and at work my FWPs are dial up related.

Tramadol makes me sleeeepy, damitol.
you taking it by itself or combo with Paracetamol?

i noticed it works a bit better when you combo it.

Paracentamol = Acetaminophen
but seems like only Americans called it that.

Bought a new CPU and case. Uninstalled motherboard from old case. Installed new CPU. Put it in new case and fired it up - won’t boot (CPU error). Put the old CPU, won’t boot (CPU error). Mobo probably died 6 months out of warranty @#$&$$!

Did you try plugging in the power supply?

Cut some dead willow limbs over the driveway, and one of them had a nest with chicks inside. One of them got squashed by the skidloader, and the other three were put under a boat with the remains of the nest. Hope mom finds them and can handle the situation.

Is that your pond? Looks like a nice area.

Not mine. It's the farm the office is on. My boss rents the horse stuff to horse people, and he has a couple horses in the back field. That pond got thrashed by beavers. That's why the willow limbs were dead. They chewed the shit out of the bottom of the tree, then they plugged up the outfall and inundated everything when the pond overfilled. Lost a bunch of trees, and the bridge to the island got submerged. What was really galling was I spent a couple months cleaning up the banks with a brushcutter, and thinning out the trees so it looked good, and the beavers pretty much nullified all the work.

The power-on led was lit and the 'you are so hosed' led was also lit. Pretty sure the power was on 😃
Is it the mobo in your sig? Try updating to the latest BIOS without CPU and see if that revives it. Weird that the mobo would die just from taking it out of the case, unless you had enough static charge built up in your hands to light up a Christmas tree.

I was suppose to go pickup a ginger kitten in a few days, and found out it died. Pretty shocked. Must have had some kind of birth defect or something, they found it face down in litter box and tried to get it back on it's legs then it puked water then died on the spot. :(

Ah, that sucks Squirrel. Better now, than after it's at your house I guess. The next one will be awesome.

Yeah that's how I see it, at least it didn't happen after I got the kitty. I'm on night shift so said I could only come after because I didn't want it to spend it's first days all alone at my house for 12 hours. Had I decided to take it right away anyway I would have ended up finding it dead at my house and would feel so bad thinking it was my fault.

Also just had another FWP but not exactly as bad as a cat dying... Power just went out at the office and like half of town, and turns out I got the power cords for the power bar and the standing desk mixed up.... the standing desk was on battery backup, not the computer... doh. Have to reload everything now. At least I can make my desk go up and down if the power goes out! lol. I just swapped the cords now though, and generator just switched back to hydro and my PC stayed up, so I'm good for next time. :p

At three intersections in the city today would have gotten t boned, along with another cyclist or three, if we were not defensively cycling because three morons turned left without checking for a cyclist in the bike lane first. I mean that's a second and third world problem too really. But, fucking had a great ride so good I didn't die.

Wanted to try the new Ghost Pepper Chicken Sandwich and fries from Wendy's last night. So I hopped on Door Dash only to find out you gotta be a subscriber to their premium service to order it for some reason,

I guess the $8 in fees they already charge you aren't enough.
