My ignore list keeps swelling from my ill advised site-seeing tour in P&N land. I think I'm going to request a refund from my travel agent because they told me the locals there were relatively reasonable peoples in that region.

I commissioned a new online server and configured backups, and my local backup raid array sitting at 1% free disk space did not sit well with me before running a test backup job, so I had to do the unthinkable and delete old files.

Farewell, disk images from 2012 that I had no reason to keep.

Now I have a bit of breathing room on that raid array now.

Really a full disk upgrade of my NAS is in order, I'm still using mostly 1TB and 2TB drives. Some of the drives have over 60,000 hours on them. I really get my money's worth out of my hardware.

I still need to check that mouse trap, and rebuild my p2p server that I nuked by accident when I was deleting old VMs. Another day.

Checked my GF's flight, was landing early at 9:50 so I left the house to get to LaGuardia at 10. And did. I wanted to briefly check out the inside of terminal B before she got her luggage, since it's impressive new big infrastructure. Well storms rolled in and delayed a bunch of departures mostly due to high winds. Even though the storms are gone and over the Atlantic Ocean, her flight is still not landing until 11:45, if it's not delayed again.

I just spent 17 bucks on dried organic fruit, a protein rich chocolate chip cookie, and a smart water.

Went snowshoeing yesterday and now I can barely move my legs, and the plow went by and I need to get out tomorrow. I'm in no physical shape to remove the huge snow bank. Might have to hire this one out.

I bought six "decadent" peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies tonight. They're my favorite cookie, but of course aren't healthy, so I don't buy them very often.

A little later I went to throw something in the kitchen garbage, and what do I see sitting on top? Of course a WHOLE fully intact cookie!

I had to know what fresh hell insanity caused this, so I hollered up to my kids and asked who threw away a whole cookie. My oldest son started his explanation with "So what happened was I opened the package to get one, and it fell onto the kitchen counter".

To which I replied "It only touched the kitchen counter? And you thought that it should be thrown away because of that? I could understand if it hit the floor, but the kitchen counter that's always clean?".

What a waste of good cookie.

In my younger days, I probably would have well.

But I grew up poor, and we didn't always have food in the house / available. Hell, if I dropped something on the ground, I'd just dust it off with my shirt, and in the belly it would go.

No way back then a whole cookie would have been thrown away.

I found out the bill was for a different office visit. The provider never even generated a bill, let alone sent it to insurance; they sent it straight to collections.

Ten months later, the provider finally sent the bill to insurance.

I usually rent a cabin to go camping with one of my friends but it's already all booked for the time we can both be off so can't this year.

Looks like we'll have to tent camp on my new 40 acre property instead.

This is a pretty legit 1st world problem I'd say.

Two problems to whine about today.

1. Finding Kashi Go Honey Almond Flax Crunch (which I eat every morning) has become increasingly difficult over the last 6 months. I used to buy it from Wal-Mart or Food Lion, but the only place I can ever find it in stock is Amazon Fresh.

2. We had HBO Max as part of our AT&T Uverse package until we switched over to Spectrum recently. My wife and I both liked it (Raised By Wolves FTW), so I subscribed to their $9.99/month with ads plan to see if we could save the $5 month (if the ads weren't too annoying).

However, while watching our show, we received a "app must restart to free RAM" message, and our LG tv would then turn off. This happened 3 times in a row right when HBO Max loaded their ad breaks. So I had to go with the ad free option, and there weren't any more crashes. Kinda annoying......

Browser suggested an interesting-looking article in The Altantic, something about someone having gotten fed up of subscribing to things like Netflix. I click on it, and of course, all I can see is the headline "This is peak subscription" and sub-header "forking over $5 a month is getting pretty old", followed by a suggestion I subscribe to The Atlantic in order to read the article (presumably suggesting I stop subscribing to things)
