Item still didn't ship, so I tried contacting them at their email address, but no response. I think it's pretty safe to assume the item isn't arriving tomorrow. :p

I just asked since it hasn't shipped yet (so it's not coming this week), if I could just switch over to the slower $4 flat shipping option. It's a shame as I've used them plenty of times before, but not shipping the item out (or sending me an email letting me know if there was some kind of issue) is pretty disappointing. I think they are a smaller family owned business, and with as crazy as the last 14 months have been I could understand short staffing / illnesses, but when a company just doesn't ship an order and stays silent to what's going on with it, that's pretty disappointing.
strangely enough my item was delivered today.

I never received a response to the email I sent, but I actually just received an automated shipment notification from their system. The shipping label has only been recently generated at the business.

Which is weird as they are located in Wisconsin, and they have been closed for hours (based on their website FAQ section). So maybe they were behind and working overtime to catch up on orders? Who the heck knows, but at least it should be picked up by Fedex tomorrow and finally be on it's way. I try not to be a "Karen" about stuff because it's been a weird year and they've always been pretty good about getting orders out quickly, but this whole order with them has been way different than any of my previous orders through them.

could be the update was delayed. I have seen that before where parcels are scanned in long after they are closed.

so I ordered a table on amazon, came home and found the table leaning against my door. The shippers must have dropped the table or something, I saw on tracking it said package shows damage... Bastards just wrapped one end and dropped it off anyway. I returned it of course.

"Shows damage"? Looks like they ran over it with their truck.

It still shows "info sent to Fedex", but at least I got a reply to my email from an employee.

They apologized for the shipping delay, and issued me a credit to my account for the difference I paid in extra shipping costs compared to their flat rate charge ($17). I didn't ask for that, but I won't complain about it either since the item is definitely not coming today. :p

They have been really good on all my previous orders, so I'll just chalk this one up to something like a system glitch, or a gremlin in their warehouse.

I've been watching the CNBC app on my Fire TV, and every 15 minutes like clockwork I keep getting an ad for Descovy for PrEP.

Yeah... their ad targeting kinds sucks.

That almost looks like it was shipped using a 737 Max and was recovered from the wreckage.

Coding on my work computer, and it's a pretty terrible experience. I take for granted how much better I'm setup at home for it. Proper server infrastructure, faster hardware etc.

I was able to cobble together a Linux VM running on a super slow machine and had to setup NAT and do some weird networking stuff so I can access it from my work machine, this makes it pretty much impossible to setup any form of file sharing so I can't just code directly on the server which means I have to FTP stuff over every time I want to test the code. overall it's a super mickey mouse setup compared to what I have at home which is a full Linux environment so no need for weird workaround stuff. If they want any of these projects to become more "official" I will keep asking for a better setup. At very least I'd like a Linux server that can run on bare metal hardware sitting directly on the network with a proper static IP, DNS hostname and everything. Faster hardware would be nice too but that's probably asking for too much. I almost feel like every time I retire a machine at home, it determines the specs of our next upgrade at work. lol.

Just found 75GB worth of data in the folder C:\Users\BACKUP. Not sure wtf this all is but it looks like old user profiles of mine. Just deleted it all. Took 10 minutes.

I forgot my login to the local news website. Instead of just clicking on the article I now have to right click and open in an Incognito tab so I can read it.

30 years mortgage rate (Chase) went from 2.59% APY to 2.81% APY within a week. Oh and gas (regular unleaded) price went up too.

Running friends through Curse of Strahd on FantasyGrounds and they reached the first level milestone in Death House at an awkward time in the session. Totally threw off my mojo because they really need the level up to continue but we still had a bit of time left before we started to pass out because we're old farts.

Tried to open a PDF file from my browser on my work machine and now all hell broke loose and cursor is super sluggish to move and everything is locking right up. I really don't want to be forced to reboot.

Seems my alarms are still refreshing though even though I can't actually use the machine.

What's funny is I've retired machines at home which have better specs than what we get at work lol.
