It was snowing/sleeting heavily last week and now it is raining, not hard but steady on and off and the sky is so cloudy and dark.
Yeah we got some warm rain too. Took care of the snow. Realized I have about 9 separate piles of dog shit on my lawn.
Old Shorty would have been angry. New Shorty just says oh well, better to not stress over something I cannot control.

So, my 7-year-old daughter decided that she wanted to play The Sims 4. She mostly likes designing new characters in the character editor, the actual gameplay doesn't interest her.

So, I try to launch the game. Nope, it needs an Origin update. Origin updates itself (5 minutes later), but The Sims 4 never launches. I try to launch it again. The Sims 4 apparently needs its own update. 5 minutes later, The Sims 4 finally launches. My daughter is pissed off about how long it took. I'm pissed off as well, but apparently The Sims 4 got an "important" new feature... MAC branded eyeshadow that looks just like the regular eyeshadow. Yeah, that was totally worth the time I waited.

EA Sucks.

The real shorty would lay in wait with a pellet rifle.

So who are you?

I've never owned a pellet rifle.

And you're crazy if you think I'm laying out in the rain with my X95 all night.
Might get rust.
Attic, open window, foundation vent....whatever it takes.

I live in a semi professional hood. Had a chiro next door that lived upstairs. Her dog would shit in my yard. I tossed it in her drive, where her customers came in. Problem fixed.

It's the same in Jersey, people think dog shit melts with the snow. It's an epidemic this past week as the snow has melted. Fucking nasty people.

Fawk. I have a pickup service that has come a few times over the last few weeks but it has snowed so much it was getting covered in hours. On top of that, the pickup dude has gotten sick and then had to go take care of someone who got sick. My cleanup day has been canceled or pushed about 5 times. As the snow melts, the poop is ahowing up everywhere. Ita awful. Tomorrow is the new, rescheduled day. I really hope it happens.

Walmart had the NERVE to charge me SALES TAX! On Rockstar energy drinks. (There's no sales tax on grocery food + drink in my state...)

Games seem like such a pain in the ass these days, they all seem to rely on some 3rd party service BS instead of being stand alone.

UT just flat out randomly stopped working for me because of the Epic game launcher getting some kind of update that broke it. They probably got rid of win7 compatibility or something. Why break stuff that used to work before? I hate that crap.

I've got a couple that I would trade with but the Boss would cause me serious emotional and bodily harm.

I mean, Rockstar really isn't a food product.
Well, whether you think it is or isn't... tax on it is NOT charged when I buy them at the local grocery, or convenience store. So my belief, is that Walmart should NOT be charging me tax, either.

Soft drinks in this state, have a bottle deposit ($0.05), but no tax.

Edit: It gets better. Apparently, that order (consisting of nothing but Rockstar energy drinks), is "eligible for a protection plan".

Your order has purchases eligible for a Protection Plan. Add a plan within 29 days!View eligible plans

Had a girl over last night and invited her dog over so she could crash here. It was a 20lb Pomeranian. Holy yappy dog. My big pit mix was as chill as usual but that little dog was nuts. It was bearable until I started streaming Parts Unknown today after we got some bagels for brunch. Every time that dog would see another animal on the screen, it would go crazy, totally bonkers. Bourdain shows tend to have a lot of animals on them Apparently he does that at her house too. Plus random barking at other scenes. It was hard to tune out after a while. I wanted to lock the dog out of the room but didn't think that would go over well with her so I kept my mouth shut.

Sales tax needs to be eliminated period. We already paid income tax on that money, it's retarded taxing us yet again on the same money.

How much is sale tax in Canada? Down here, it can be high, in the 9.xx% range (state and local combined).

I feel the same about income tax on interest from my reward checking and savings accounts from banks. Why should I pay tax again after I already paid income tax on that money.

Reminds me again of when I lost a load of things I was in the middle of working on because Windows decided it had to reboot for an urgent update - changing the symbol of the Lativan currency to the Euro sign. Yes, I can see why that really can't wait.

(yes, it asks you if you want to reboot...you keep saying 'not now', then you go for a coffee break and while you are away from the computer it asks again, fails to get a response, so reboots anyway).

Reminds me of watching some David Attenborough documentary about birds...when the cat was in the room.

Yeah paying tax on investments is another thing that's retarded. People try to get a bit ahead by investing what little money they have left, then the government wants that too. Like F off already!

There's a meme that is going around, shows a quarter and says "this is a loonie with all the taxes taken out". So true too. If you start to factor of all the different taxes we have to pay we get to keep maybe 25% of what we make.
