Cop just came to take report. Jist of it, they're fed up too of this stuff and it's really the court that is the issue as they keep releasing these thieves instead of handing out sentences.

He gave me his info so if my work gets any footage tomorrow I'll send it to him.

Mentioned before but the new unit at Ma's did the same thing last year. The controller board for the fan was $280. WTF do you need a controller board for a fan? On/off/repeat.

I can't figure out this error at work. And the guy who is probably best qualified to leaves in an hour, apparently. Feces. Oh and no response back from two recruiters (it's been 2-3 days since my last email to them). I want to gtfo here asap, ugh.

At least it's Friday.

And my co-worker (who's gonna leave in a half hour) figured it out! lol, thank God. It seems like it was just due to a timing issue (there's a ton of apps and servers running, in our Prod environment). BRILL

Timing issues can be the worst. I remember having to map out a large state machine In a client/server system and then waking back through the code for each state and all the variables in debug mode to find out where and why the connection protocol was failing. Took two of us 2 days to fix it. Fricking 10,000 line state machine, and we didnt have access to the server side code.

Still no office at work over seven months after my promotion to a management position. I offered to remain in my cube but look into turning it into an enclosed "office". An office opened up since somebody left over two weeks ago, but I think they're saving it for the next person (whom they're searching for externally) to fill that position. Quite an insult given how long I've worked there and the work I've done for the company.

Part of me wants to lash out and half-ass my job, as there are other problems such as still not being included in necessary decisions or generally being given the respect I've earned... but I feel like that would be sabotaging myself and I should just take the high road.

Though If I get approval to turn my cube into an enclosed space, I can technically do something like this:

I guess I'll give it another couple of weeks before I go nuclear and tell my boss to either give me a F'ing office or I'll just find/clear out a space and start moving in on my own. If I deem a meeting room appropriate for my office, they'll just have to deal with it. Taking what I think should be mine has been necessary more than a few times and it hasn't let me down or gotten me in any trouble yet.

I sit next to VP Delivery. He has a desk exactly the same as mine. As in no privacy at all.
Whole floor is open, except for meeting rooms and the lunch room.

Went deer hunting this AM...with the truck...sooo close but no venison. The problem, my dash cam memory card was full so it didn't record. The auto save for crashes must be too sensitive.

This is a combo problem/triumph. I was gonna make some ramen last night, so I cleaned my little enamelware pot, added water, and took it over to the stove. Water was pouring out onto the stove(WTF?!). Turns out a place where the enamel chipped off rusted through. I loved that pot. I've had it for almost 30 years, and it was always being used. It was seldom even put away. If it wasn't dirty in the sink, it was in the dish strainer drying.

My triumph is I did my ghetto shopping today, and found a little US made copper bottom stainless RevereWare at the thrift shop for $3. It's a direct replacement for my old pot. Not quite as stylish, but otherwise an exact replacement. I could eyeball and time everything based on my old pot, so I won't have to relearn anything aside from some small heat time differences :^)

Hahaha holy crap, that sounds like quite the effort. Yeah our Prod environment is really complex too; tens of applications, plus around 60 main servers running all these apps... a lot to go wrong and monitor for sure.

And our whole network and SQL Server has gone down, and guess who is on-call tonight? lol. Add to that I've got a bitch of a sore throat and don't feel the best. fml
