My fwp... Bought a new bar for one of my little saws, and a reel of chain. The bar's a discount brand made in Taiwan, but it has a larger nose which is harder to find for consumer saws. While researching people's opinions of the chain, I ran across a Tsumura bar for the same price as my discount bar. One of the top makers, and made in Japan. I already don't like my new bar, and I haven't even installed it yet :^(

Oh, and my internet is now slow. Hotspot turned off in the night, and now my speed's throttled. I wish I understood how it all worked. That could be something I could work around if I were just a bit smarter :^/

For me, I got into work before everyone else today. I put the coffee maker on and then got involved in some work and waited about 20 minutes before coming back to the coffee and in that time everyone else had drunk it all and no one bothered to make more, so I had to make a second batch.

That happens to me about daily at my job. People are so f'ing lazy it's disgusting. Or think they're "too good" to make coffee and let the peons do it instead.

My FWP was when I took my lunch break today, about 1/8 cars had their lights off and it was really foggy out with wet and slushy roads. So many people are shit drivers. I don't get why people refuse to turn their lights on, as if it harms their car or something. That's just part of my routine, like buckling my seatbelt. No reason not to.

All the lights in my mini outside Christmas tree burnt. There was a bunch of burnt ones that I was neglecting to change as it's just too cold to mess with that, and I guess another light must have burnt, sending too much voltage to the others and they all popped. Those mini lights do that. When a light burns there's a small shunt that completes the circuit so all the other bulbs get more voltage.

I wonder why they don't just make the shunt a resistor that matches the filament resistance.

Guess I'll remove the strands in spring and then next year I'll replace with LED.

Suppose I should unplug the outside Christmas lights but I find it's less depressing to leave them on during the dark months. Probably unplug them end of February. Starting to be light out just before 8am and stays light out past 5pm now.

Agreed. I don't know how so many heathens can eat cold pizza. Bleh. I'd rather clean someone's pooper of dingleberries. I like food that's supposed to be served warm, hot; and food that's supposed to be cold, cold. Pretty simple.

I guess my problem is that someone who has stolen my Amex credit card number (an old one; I've since been issued a couple new cards) is charging shit against it, AND THAT STUFF IS SHOWING UP ON MY BILL. From a fucking card that's old and I've since shredded. From a fucking card that they KNEW was compromised. Why in the SHIT are you fucking idiots allowing someone to charge shit on an old card, that shows up on my bill and it looks like legit charges to places (e.g. Netflix, Hulu, etc)? Just unbelieveable if you ask me. They say they allow that so when you get a new CC# any accounts you have setup with auto-pay still work with your old card. Pffft. Fucking idiotic IMO, if you don't deactivate old cards, especially ones that were compromised.

Anyway, I've spoken with Amex over the phone either three or four times to get this fucking bullshit straightened out and guess what, it's still happening. I've told them what the damn problem is but they just are refusing to block charges to that old credit card against my account, and instead insist on adding individual blocks against merchants. Sigh. I'm sure I'll have to call them again once I see my next statement, and if they don't take care of the problem at that time I'm closing my account with them. I'm f'ing sick of this silly bullshit.

I was waiting on an Amazon package containing a NVMe drive for my new laptop, and around 6:30 PM the Amazon delivery van parked in my driveway. I went out to get it so I could get the OS off of the slow-ass spinner that's in there now, but they accidentally left my package at the local warehouse distribution center.
