bought a Corsair mm800 LED mouse mat and the freakin thing won't keep the lighting setting once the PC goes to sleep but instead goes to this flashy ridiculous rainbow pattern no matter what, destroying the whole ambience of the room.

Had to order the Steelseries LED mouse mat and now have to return this one to best buy. Annoying.

I'm dead tired from having worked on 8h day shifts and getting up early and dealing with clock change, and I have 2 12h shifts ahead of me now. I think I'm going to die. Have to get up at 6am tomorrow which is really like getting up at 5am. Getting up at 7am is brutal enough. 2 more days of this then I'll be off, and then I'll have a nice long stretch of night shifts. Looking forward to that so I can sleep in again.

sounds like a 3rd world problem except for the part about getting some time off before going back to work

my washing machine says to be careful not to overload it, but it doesn't define what 'overload' means

This orange I'm eating is too juicy that I have to hold a plate under my mouth when I bite into the slices. So inconvenient.

My cat got spayed and now she has to wear a cone and be locked up in the bathroom for a few days. She's still super high from the operation and it's really weird. She's normally super hyper and talkative. Now she's just sitting quietly staring at the tub, though she did walk around a little, including a slow bee-line right into the wall.

Someone with a piercing scream is just yelling a non-stop tone in the Michigan/Montana basketball game. Every time Montana gets the ball it's just waaaaaaaaaaaa.... and it comes right into the TBS microphones. It's horrifying.

So immediately after I buy my black on black car, McLaren comes out with the black edition that I would have wanted.

Melted my new chainsaw chaps *twice* yesterday. They'll still work, but I have two ugly melt spots from the saw muffler. I think it's the way I carry the saw. Never saw it happen, but I keep it close to my body when I'm moving around. Need to be more careful I guess.

I went to NYC & back around Christmas. Tolls are electronic now. Got a bill in the mail for $34 (total for both ways, twice, which is outrageous for a passenger vehicle, but is beside the point here). I usually scan & shred all of my mail on a daily basis, but this one somehow got lost in the holiday of shuffle of greeting cards & all that jazz.

Fast-forward to today (3 months later) and they are charging me FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS IN LATE FEES. No joke - my current bill is $434. Who can I sue?? :D

Chainsaws have mufflers?
Wee ones :^D

My poulan wasn't that loud. I used it without hearing protection, and didn't have any issues. The stihl is loud as shit. I can't use it without something over my ears.

I really dislike the angry sound of a chainsaw. Sounds like trees coming down, and I don't like trees coming down. There's major activity in the cul-de-sac across the street. Lots of saws/chippers, lots of trees coming down. I guess the people want an unobstructed view of the highway/car dealer. Idiots...

Ah, turns out there's a class-action lawsuit going on for it right now:

https://topclassactions.com/lawsuit...-y-consumers-face-unconstitutional-toll-fees/

People are even getting their registrations revoked:

https://www.lohud.com/story/news/20...-agreements-divvy-up-millions-fees/351200002/

This lady has a real horror story, to the tune of $12,000 in late fees from toll-less billing:
