Cable's been almost completely out for nearly a week.

TimeWarner has allegedly been there to fix it twice already. (I've been at work; it's in an apartment, and they have access to the outdoor hookups and the indoor connection in the basement.)

Still bad.

I think it's just a corroded coupler. That might be too difficult for them to figure out.

In other news, the first time I called, I did get to talk to a Tier 1 tech support rep, because I had mentioned that it looked like there was a damaged coax cable with torn insulation. This guy actually knew the meaning of the term "coax cable!" Amazing.
(After 5 minutes on hold, a few minutes of "reboot the modem" after I told the rep that I was at work and not near the modem, then 2 minutes on hold for Tier 1.)

Meanwhile, I had to call McMaster-Carr about something.
- Recording: "This call may be recorded."
- 10 seconds later, someone picked up the call.
This person knew about the part I was referencing (a granite surface block), wasn't reading off of a script, and was even able to find and send me the information I needed.
Amazing, a company that still seems to believe that customers aren't just annoying things that occasionally complain about things and do little else.

Quit my job today and the only thing I'm worried about is how my pension money is going to be paid out -- taxed or untaxed.

The force required to rotate the toilet paper holder currently exceeds the tensile strength of the toilet paper. I had to manually rotate the roller like some kind of animal 😡

Facebook for Android does not abide by Tasker's automatic volume changes so it woke up my wife last night and she was a frigid bitch this morning.

Deer darted out in front of me. Close call. And an old lady was in line ahead of me farting up a storm like I wasn't even there, smelled like Metamucil and a hint of egg.

Almost out of money.

Scared I can't make it until my paycheck hits at the end of the month.

This has me in tears right now.So freaked out.

Turned into a really bad day all of a sudden.

(Just to give you a idea,I had to put back $25 worth of groceries-originally was going to get $50 worth- because the register kept rejecting my debit card, saying not enough money.)

I had something like this today due to a $708.99 Verizon bill I am going to receive due to the kiddies turning off wireless when our internet was down and not turning wireless back on.

Plus buying all new bedroom sets, nursery items, school clothes, etc etc etc all this pay period.

Fortunately, my bill isn't really due until after I get paid again. So I don't have to shuffle money.

What's going on though? Some of our members can be helpful.

Mother mother mother mother mother...

I just confirmed that the pension I've been contributing towards for over 5 years is untouchable unless I'm dead, dying, or living on the street -- this despite me leaving the company and pension plan. The entire amount can only be transferred to a "locked in" account I can't touch for another 3 decades when I'm old. In the meantime, I can let the pension plan keep the money and pay me out scraps in 30 years, assuming it hasn't gone bankrupt, or take it out and play with, but not touch, it for 30 years.

Who the f*ck thought this one up? Guess it helps people with no self-control or banks who are guaranteed your money for decades at a time?

was pan searing swordfish steaks when one of the kids started coughing from drinking watwr too fast. After tending to little one i grabbed the handle of the pan and seared my hand third degree.

Earlier today, while I was driving on the interstate, a vehicle cut off another one and that one behind hit the brake. I was able to see all the smoke from the front tires. Just like a stunt in a movie but it was real. That's close.

Ordered a couple two-way radios off eBay from China. They most likely went to California but instead went all the way to Chicago and I live in the Denver area. USPS: Unionized shit!
