Holy crap sdifox, that was a crazy picture of all those people. DANG!

I guess I have nothing to bitch about today, so far, but I want to report one that happened I believe last week. I went to open the half gallon of milk I keep in the fridge at work, and BOOM, fucker was bad. It was the day of the date that was printed on the jug so I figured it should still be good for a couple days, but as soon as I uncapped it and took a whiff, NOPE.

GODDAMNIT. That's the third fricking milk that's expired on or before the date printed on the jug. One time it was the day of the date printed on the jug, like what just happened, and another time I think it was a couple days BEFORE the expiration date on the jug and it had gone bad (go back in this thread, I'm sure I bitched about it).

What in the shit. The fridge temp at work is normal. So is my fridge temp at home (one of these times it was the milk I had at home). Shit when I lived with my parents I NEVER remember opening a milk on the date printed on the jug and having it bad. I dunno. fml

A stray cat broke one of the window inserts on our garage door. The HOA is complaining and threatening to bill us for a replacement if we don't get it fixed.

But they can't get into our garage, and the parts are being shipped slow-boat from China and won't be here until after their deadline. So who the fuck even knows.

Sounds like the HOA is partly responsible, if they're letting stray cats roam around. ;)

Nah, that one's on me - I trapped a few and handed them off to the local rehab/no-kill. One of them escaped the kennel we were using as a holding pen.

So the manufacturer got back to me - they don't make the part any more, the ones I ordered are probably the wrong ones. I can pretty easily fab a close match, but I'm going to have to get permission to improvise.

Lost my USAF survival knife today. I was brushcutting, and the harness pad was knocking it around, and it fell out of the sheath. I made a couple passes with a metal detector, but there was so much crap on the ground it was hard to swing. Looking for a brown and black knife on a forest floor full of cut brush... I have to order another one. I use it all the time. Disturbingly, Amazon says it was discontinued by Ontario. Their website shows OOS, so... I can still get one, but I can't lose it if they aren't making more.

I suppose that's an option, but I don't want to get ~$250 in knives to hedge against future loss

Ugh think I got strep throat. Woke up with a sore throat and it never went away. Not a good sign.
Go see about it. Friend's daughter picked up an auto immune problem from strep that she couldn't get rid of after antibiotics. Seriously, vasculitis and being a professional dancer don't mix.

No, you dirty old men, no pics and she was not a bar dancer.

or buy one and use a cord to attach the knife to you?
That's getting a little closer. It's usually secure with typical use, but the brushcutter really bangs it around, I should have taken it off, cause it isn't something I use brushcutting. Furthermore, I saw it was loose when I refueled, and I should have put it in my pocket when I saw that. That was careless on my part. I've ordered a new one, and I'll look for my old one again next week. Might be easier with a lot of the green brown and flatter. Fresh eyes will help too. I was pretty much toast when I finished today.

Unfortunately can't do much on a weekend all the clinics are closed and ER won't give antibioitcs (they told me that last time, that they don't give any for that anymore). Stuck waiting till Tuesday. I work Monday. I called in sick today and tomorrow but 3 days is pushing it.

The sore throat part is somewhat gone though but still have the fever. I'm thinking this is a mild one and it might go on it's own. If I'm still not 100% by Tuesday then I'll go to the clinic.
