I'm on my way home from a doc appointment and take an earlier exit to hit up my favorite pizza place to bring home. Typically it's about a 5 minute drive home and the pizza is still warm. So I grab it and on the local way home there's massive traffic on the 2-lane road and a sign for "utility work ahead". Over 15 minutes later I finally get by the cause of the traffic - 1 van blocking the road with cones a half block behind it and not a single worker in sight. This is lunch rush-hour on one of our busier streets. And this union fucker decides to abandon his shit for lunchtime or something causing a back-up for more than a mile with red lights mixed in. F'you for my cold pizza you selfish prick. Microwaving pizza blows.
You should have eaten it in the car. I have my fam "convinced" they always short us a piece or 2.

It's a special slice with basically everything on it. Every time I go, I look forward to sitting down with it in front of the tv, bachelor-style. No way I can eat that while in a car and certainly not how I planned it to be. F that guy for ruining my (and everyone else's) lunch plans.

Updated my Analogue Mega Sg to the latest firmware on my lunch break and Hybrid scanlines at 1080p are still broken. See if you can spot the problems:

This is with an integer scale. So much for the “totally revamped” scanlines.

The black line is supposed to disappear in bright areas of solid color and the non-black line above it is supposed to look exactly like the non-black line above that (it doesn’t). That’s because the non-black line above the black simulated scanline is actually a simulated scanline too... and it’s the only one that has the hybrid blending effect applied to it.

At least the simulated scanlines no longer intersect scaled pixels like they did before... and still do on the Analogue Super Nt. Yes: Even basic non-Hybrid scanlines are broken at 1080p on the Super Nt.

I just hit my funny bone, omg that has got to be one of the most painful things one can do. It's even more painful than getting hit in the balls. The pain reverberated all the way through to my pinky finger and I can still feel it. Going to be feeling that for a while. I was finally able to get off the floor from a fetal position. My cat seemed concerned.

Earlier this morning I heard that obnoxious Cortana greeting when you're installing Windows 10. The one that has "a little Wifi there" in it. Ugh I hate humans a little more every time I hear that piece of shit. Who were the fucking assholes at Microsoft that 1.) came up with that, and 2.) ok'd that to be included in Windows install?

The meteor can't get here soon enough...

Someone got in the office over the weekend, and stole my saw and brushcutter; about $1.5k altogether. I luckily took one of my other saws with the longer bar home over the weekend. I almost left it, but figured I wouldn't be needing it for awhile. That was the only shit taken. None of the expensive survey instruments, none of the expensive climbing gear, and none of the easy to carry bonus bags I kept supplies in.
We discovered a new missing item today; a mega pack of toilet paper o_O

My brushcutter was sitting next to a survey instrument that cost $35k new. It's now depreciated to ~$7k, and there's four more like it in the back room. Not touched. A bag full of climbing gear; ~$800. Not touched. Two bags of supplies for my chainsaw and brushcutter. About $150 combined, but an easy grab. Not touched. Add all the other stuff in a modern office, and they're all still here.

I don't get it. A chainsaw, a brushcutter, and toilet paper. I can't even begin to fathom the mindset of that selection. I get being a thief, but why would you leave good stuff behind, and take something lame like toilet paper?!

People steal the weirdest stuff. It's basically legal here to steal stuff if it's not locked down. Cops have this campaign called "lock it or lose it" and even put flyers on people's cars if the doors are unlocked. The problem is thieves are getting more and more bold and breaking into cars and houses even if they are locked, but if the items inside are not locked down themselves then it's still free game.

My FWP is I started demolishing my chimney and even after a really good shower and multiple washes, I still feel dusty! I don't know if it's just my head playing tricks on me at this point.

Make more room in the garage, it's not functional. It was for an old style fire place (super inefficient kind) and I want to get rid of fire place too, it's in a bad spot. I want to put the couch there so it can actually be in front of the TV.

As much as I'd like a wood stove, and I've thought of converting it, it's just not a practical spot. If I build a house I'll make sure to make the living room layout more practical with also room for a wood stove.

Constructing a house around wood burning efficiency/practicality? How Canadian of you.

Stopped in one of the local watering establishments for a burger. They completely fucked up my wife's burger...which pissed her off...told them to just take it off my bill...so now I'm gonna have to deal with a hungry sick wife. (We're both fighting some cold/flu bug and feel like shit anyway)
The food selection in this little town sux...a couple of restaurants that are BAD, a couple that are mediocre at best...and a couple of bars that serve decent food.(usually)
All this while "getting" to listen to karaoke... (shoot me now)

I'm sitting in bingo at the casino with my mom and of course they have the AC fucking blasting in here (it's in the 60s outside).

They do it all the time at fast food places, too. Jesus it's fucking annoying. Makes me wanna find the dumbass responsible and cuff them in the head a few times.

I do wonder why some places put the A/C so low in first place, must cost a lot to run it that low. I find anything lower than 20C is a little much. Lot of restaurants are bad for that.

A lot of the corporate-type places staff have limited or no control over temp's ... really dumb in a restaurant especially!

We planted a pair of Hunza apricot trees four years ago. The trees are a Pakistani variety that can tolerate desert living. The fruit are intended to dry on the trees and are used for cooking. This year was our first crop and the fruit were ripe but needed to dry. Yesterday, the birds ate them all, every last one. :( I guess next year we will invest in netting. :p

The foliage on the tree near my window filled out a few weeks ago and now I can't watch the soccer games in the park from my window any longer.
