Youtube censorship is ridiculous. I find the only thing that's really safe is vlogs and even then you have to be careful what you say. You can't swear at all, or give any opinion on certain things like political issues, especially SJW issues. It's not 100% Youtube's fault but the law as well. If they were not diligent they would get shut down.

As much as I like Youtube for the vast amount of video content I absolutely hate how it's managed. We need an alternative, ideally one hosted in a country that is less oppressive as the US when it comes to censorship. Ideally something somewhat distributed, like with a bunch of server nodes hosted in different countries. Whatever type of video is not allowed in one country could just be hosted on another node.
^^ What a crock of shit. Youtube is filled with neckbeards bitching about pretty much everything. What you can't do is advocate violence or repost copyrighted material.

There's tons of incidents of videos getting taken down for ridiculous reason. Cody's Lab has been hit many times, his channel even shut down, over scientific stuff because someone got offended. Some people get copystriked just because they make a sequence of sounds on a paper towel dispenser that happens to sound too close to a copyrighted song.

Some guy even got his video removed and even dragged through the legal system because his cat moved his paw in a way that looked like the Hitler salute. Basically anything that can offend people, or be remotely slightly close to something copyrighted, it will often be removed. The thing that IS odd is how it's very hit and miss. I've seen videos of people dying and somehow that's ok, but then in another instance, it's not ok. They are very selective. You don't know of this because all those videos get taken down, but if you keep up with the scene you hear of all these crazy incidents.

Oh another fun one, EEVBlog tried to make a secondary channel, he named it EEV Discovery. Got immediately taken down because of copyright. The word discovery is apparently owned by Star Trek. He ended up being able to fight to get the channel back, but he's also a pretty big Youtuber. A small guy would stand no chance.

Then on the other side of the spectrum some people upload entire movies or songs and somehow it does not get removed. Yet I try to use a clip of a song as background music and it gets removed right away. It's really hit and miss.

It's not federal law that's causing this YouTube censoring, it's whiny SJW losers who flag everything and YouTube who panders to them.

Those don't help either and it's a serious issue, but by law they end up having to remove it if enough people complain because if you offend a SJW, it's basically considered hate speech. Lot of laws are starting to cater to SJWs now, it's getting bad. There's basically two big issues. Copyright extremism, and SJWs.

All that oppression is in your head. Come out, come out into the real world. It's pretty nice out here.

Funny, I'm kinda debating on cracking open a bottle of wine myself.

But I'm also debating on going to bed early so I can get up early tomorrow and get more stuff done. I might go for a ride and check out a property I'm kinda considering buying. I probably won't buy it since it's not in an unorganized township, but I'll at least go see it since they let you just drive right on it to go see it at your own leisure so I don't have to even involve anyone. If it's really nice I might just go for it and just bite the bullet on getting permits and crap.

I'm hoping to find out info from the municipality such as what things require one, and how much it makes the taxes go up by etc. The taxes now are $300/year according to the real estate listing, so if the permit only makes it go up by like 100 bucks or something then that's not too bad.

Trying to donate money to the local community college radio station, and their fly by night processor keeps failing. As much as I hate paypal, it works. I guess I'll have to drive there and give them cash. Probably get arrested, cause I'd likely be doing it at work, and my knives will scare the poor little flowers there :^/

Ha, they probably won't take the cash either. "Uh, we don't know how to handle that."

Simple solution is for you to start ConservaTube similar to Conservapedia. I'm sure you don't mind how they pick and choose which content they allow.

Someone got in the office over the weekend, and stole my saw and brushcutter; about $1.5k altogether. I luckily took one of my other saws with the longer bar home over the weekend. I almost left it, but figured I wouldn't be needing it for awhile. That was the only shit taken. None of the expensive survey instruments, none of the expensive climbing gear, and none of the easy to carry bonus bags I kept supplies in.

Damn, that sucks. Customer just, retired cop (disability), broke in when he was at one of his daughters graduation. 1 rifles/pistols, knives and generally trashed his house. He thinks it's one of the other daughters thug life friends.

Of course, I hadn’t even used the new kit before finding the old kit. It arrived, I opened it, and I promptly found the old kit in the garage. Ffffuuuuuu....

Bunch of power outages in one area and I keep having to dial manually to the MXP2s since the tool we use won't work for whatever reason. 300 baud sucks.

In 2009, I accidentally sent an email to mypersonalemailusername@workdomain.com and for the last ten years every time I even start to type mypersonalemailusername into a form field or email address bar, the computer tries to autocomplete with the incorrect email address.

I'd fix it, but it's just so... it's kind of a thing now.
