Umm, this happens in Android as well.

And it happens a lot quicker on Android, Apple updates iOS way longer than any Android device. If he's upset about iPhone for that, Android will be much worse. my iPhone SE 2016 got updates until 2021. My last Android phone got updates for like 9 months lol. I think some of the flagship phones get 3 years, but that's still a lot shorter than iOS.

It pretty much happens with desktop PCs as well. Currently contemplating getting a new one because this one won't support Windows 11.
It's just how capitalism works, I guess.

PC at least has a much longer life span though. Even after Windows is out of support a lot of stuff will still work on it. It's also easier to backup stuff such as programs. Although it's getting harder, lot of stuff is cloud based now, like games.

I still manage network connected XP computers. Stuff has only recently quit working due to massively outdated, and unupdateable software. Linux only recently quit supporting 386 architecture. Like literal 386 machines. 28 years of support.

I took some of my old computer junk to staples to recycle, a scanner, laser printer, bunch of cables, etc. They were supposed to reward me some small sum but it was only $2 worth of store credit points.

My YouTube TV 4K isn't actually broadcasting in 4K. Fortunately I'll be unsubscribed soon, but I feel ripped off.

So mine did on the FireTV app, but it seems to have stopped on the Windows app or through a browser.
Weird. Yeah, I'm running it through Chrome on Windows 10 with a 1080Ti. It's fine, this game is kind of trash, so no point in wasting the pixels :p

False. Your assertion is outdated.

Pixel and Samsung Galaxy flagship phones are supported for 7 years. Apple doesn't have an official support guarantee up front; but generally supports iPhones for about 6-7 years.

Samsung just released the Galaxy A16, a cheap $200 phone. It's getting 6 years of software support.

Isn't like half that time just security patches? I've owned 3 iPhones and they all got 6 full iOS versions. Unless something changed Samsung only gives 2 or 3 full Android updates, with patches for any big holes discovered for 5 more years. Software updates are great, but you'll still be left with a phone that a lot of apps will stop working on when they need a newer OS version. I bought a Google Nexus something or other, I know that was ages ago. But it was an official Google phone and it only got a single Android version bump.

I bought an iPhone 14 2 years ago and will still be getting full iOS updates for another 4-5 years.

Incorrect. The Google pixel phones get 7 years of updates. Samsung recently matched that for its flagships. Your information is outdated.

I have a Samsung A54 so midrange but not flagship..

But as I like to guard against risk, I don't have any financial apps on my phone that I take outside the house.

And I leave them on the old iphone that was sitting charging nicely at home.. but that's how I realized my old phone which I leave at home wasn't able to log into BoA to pay off my CC bills anymore.

Why not just use your home computer?

While watching the CFP final last night, ESPN allowed Pres. Trump to give a political speech during halftime. Absolute fucking nonsense.

A lot has changed; your info is like 4+ years old.

Why not just use your home computer?
I'd rather do my online banking on an unsupported, obsolete device!

Never heard of it.

Ever heard of Linux Mint?

Well they have 4 flavors..

If you like Debian base.. there is LMDE (Linux Mint Debian Edition)
If you like Ubuntu base.. there's Cinnamon, XFCE & Mate

But since Ubuntu is dependent on Debian and uses it as a base for everything.. I prefer the original LMDE.

Have a look

On a similar note, I removed GhostBSD from my laptop and installed Mint (Cinnamon edition) for school since I need software compatibility. Now it turns out I need to use software called ChemDraw that only works on Windows and macOS. I may be able to be saved by Wine, but come on ChemDraw.

Fortunately Windows 11 keys work with Windows 10.

I brushed my teeth already, and now I have the munchies. There's an apple in the fridge. If I eat it, I will have to brush my teeth again.
Dip a green tea bag in warm water for a few minutes. Swish the water thoroughly around in your mouth for a few seconds and no need to brush again.

Drove the twins to school. After I parked the girl said she forgot her backpack. So had to come home pick up backpack then go to school again.
