Once I figured out what a bicycle headset was, I was like WTF? We never even had a name for that part because it never wore out, never had to think about it.

My first world problem is feeling bad about using plastic straws, but then reading about stuff like this:

You can only control your behavior. If others want to be fuckwits, that's on them. I go through sometimes extreme measures to conserve, and it all seems pointless when you look at the waste going into a single treasurebox, on a single small construction site, but I keep doing it because it's the right thing to do.
I ordered new phones,. the deal was pay for 256gb and get a free upgrader to 512 gb. I noticed on the order that the phones being shipped were 256gb so I called tmobile.
The lady was super nice and helpful. She would cancel my order and ship the 512gb. She had to put me on hold and it took like 20 minutes. After going through all of that she came back and told me they were sold out of the 512 and if I wanted the phones we would have to redo the contract for the 256...
I need a new phone, I broke mine last week and the wife needs a phone so I just did the thing.
Oh,. and because we cancelled the contract now my phone is going to take even longer to get here.

Waiting until you need a new phone is a losing proposition I think. I had a similar situation and am now considering just upgrading every 2 years when a deal pops up.

Sounds like a pain. Keeping old as a spare doesn't always work either as it seems they keep changing the sim card sizes. You can use adapters though. Every time I get a new phone the sim card is smaller so I end up having to get a new one. Just pick a size and stick with it FFS!
My last upgrade was the exception though, the sim card is same size between the new and old. Maybe they finally stopped changing them?

Eff me for watching crime series. Currently, Line of Duty. Makes me want to strangle some peeps.

Quick update.
I decided to shoot off a nasty email about the situation.
I couldn't find an email address so I got online and did chat with a csr. Told the guy I wanted the mail address. I told him they still had the promo up even though they couldn't honor it and I wanted to complain to cooperate.
They took a few minutes and came back. They said to use the phones that were on the way and as soon as the 512s were back in stock they would swap me out ....
Somehow I have a new tracking number already this morning.
We will see.

This is the best time of year to get stuff outside done since it's not so bloody hot, but it seems every year I end up with some sort of foot related issue that stops me from being able to do stuff that I want to do. Year before last year I got morton's neuroma, then the year after I spranged my ankle, and now I have morton's neuroma again. I got a cortizone shot for it the first time and guess it's wearing out.
Going to try to get in as fast as I can to get another shot but chances are my vacation will be done by then. The first time this happened it took a while to get to the conclusion that I needed the shot though, now I know it works, so just going to go straight for that. Going to call my doctor on Monday. The problem is after a while those shots stop to work though, so I really hope they'll be able to do something more permanent like surgery eventually. They can just remove the whole nerve that causes the pain.
Our springs do tend to extend pretty far now, so even if I miss out on doing stuff during my vacation there should still be days off after that I can use.
Also have shoulder and neck issues but that seems to be getting a little better through help of physio and chiropractor.

I usually just forget to put the coffee in the filter and end up with warmed water.Made coffee, went out to add chlorine to pool. Came back in, pick up carafe then proceeded to pour coffee in sink... Now I am making coffee again...
