With the government shutdown I've had time to read.
In the last few weeks I've read:

Boneshaker by Cherie Priest
A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M Miller Jr.
The Dying of the Light by George R.R. Martin
Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad
Just a Geek by Wil Wheaton
The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle
Little Brother by Cory Doctorow
Magic for Biginners by Kelly Link
Old Mans War by John Scalzi
Shift Omnibus Edition by Hugh Howey
Spin by Robert Charles Wilson
Superhero by Victor Methos
Zero History by William Gibson
Zomblog 1-3 by TW Brown
The Ware Tetralogy by Rudy Rucker

Edit:
Should have also put that I'm currently reading Blade of Tyshalle by Matthew Woodring Stover and On the Road by Jack Kerouac but I've been reading those all week.

I finished The Seven Pillars of Wisdom. The book got a lot better after the first hundred pages. Lawrence was an odd duck but the story is a good one. Now I have to find a copy of Lawrence in Arabia to get the rest of the story.

Also finished Luminescence in Mineral Kingdom by Guido Mazzoleni
and Modern Luminescence Spectroscopy of Minerals and Materials by Gaft et al. Both are very good books. The first is a beautiful book aimed at mineral collectors and hobbiests, the second a reference text aimed at mineralogists.

I really like his work. I've read about 10 of the discworld books so far. I'm spacing them out so I only read a couple a year. That way I get a lifetime of new pratchett.

Just finished Mockingjay from the hunger games trilogy. I give it a thumbs up but wonder how it got labeled as young adult...... I guess the same way Lord of the Flies ended up there. Both are pretty dark.

I think I have read most Discworld books. Just decided to re-read everything again.

I have not had much time to read. I finished Blade of Tyshalle by Matthew Woodring Stover and On the Road by Jack Kerouac, and re-read Ender's Game. But I have not had a chance to pick up a new book. I have a long weekend starting tomorrow so I'm sure I'll pick something off my shelf of to-read books.

Hard Luck Hank: Screw the Galaxy by Steven Campbell (6.5/10) - light, fun SF novel a bit like Keith Laumer's Retief and Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat.

Grand Central Arena by Ryk Spoor (7.5/10) - good SF adventure story.

Boundary by Ryk Spoor and Eric Flint (7.5/10) - another good SF story with a bit more science.

FYI, if you have a Kindle or Kindle app you can get sample chapters to try before you buy.

The Great North Woods Pack series currently on book 2.
These are mediocre at best books but they are free from the kindle lender library and I need to kill time at work. I'm also a sucker for werewolf books and it is hard to find non-romace ones so whenever I do and and I can get them free I read them.

Blood of Tyrants the latest Temeraire book, the alternate history series where dragons exist and are used like living planes during the Napoleonic wars. Neat series but the last few books including this one are really dragging.

My current reading list:

The Chinese Economy by Barry Naughton
Superfreakonomics by Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley

Freakonomics - Steven Levitt
Really old, I know. I'm just taking micro- and macroeconomics so I'm interested.
Good choice. ;)

If you haven't already read it, Nancy A. Collins' Wild Blood was a pretty good werewolf story. Her Sonja Blue vampire novels were also good.

Just finished re-reading Fear Nothing and Seize the Night in the hopes that Ride the Storm will be released eventually. Of course, I'm keeping up on the Odd novels as well since he seems to be tying them all together.

Can't remember anything about it but I read it a long time ago.

Away, I just thought he had dumped the Snow series. Nice to see there is at least a plan for a 3rd book. I liked those books a lot more than the Odd books Koontz seems hooked on. Odd Apocalypse was the worst yet of those.

Book three of Rain Wilds series by Robin Hobb. Holy moly the first book (and a good chunk of the second book) was tough to get through. Finally picking up, at least. Trying to get through this series and through the first Enders Game book so I can finally go see the movie.
