That thing is so fugly...
My grandson found a truck he was interested in, when no one was buying, and dealers were hungry. The dealer wanted to be sure he was a likely buyer, because after every test drive, they would clean the interior and then quarantine the vehicle for 3 days before they would let another perspective buyer test drive.my car is also getting old and uncomfortable but the supply of those is very thin too, and i don't want to test drive during COVID
I had to wait over 6 weeks back in mid 2020 for a new one. Washing dishes by hand sucks.I'm in the fourth month of waiting for our dishwasher order with no end in sight.
I have done double insoles for some of my hiking boots. I haven't tried it for skates yet. But I will.Have you tried using thicker and/or multiple insoles to raise the footbed some? Might let you get away with only one pair of socks at least.
That's more because Musk and his overblown vaporware promises than because of supply chain issues.
I finally got my new car
Got close to buying a used slightly dented M1 Macbook for $571. One hour before the agreed time, the seller calls and breaks the wonderful news that he sold it to someone else for $25 more.
Lol, I did mention it in another thread, but not in this one. Elantra Hybrid, blue trim, in gray exterior/gray interior; replaced our only car - a 10-year-old Ford Fusion.Watcha get watcha get?!?
*(my apologies for slacking if you mentioned it earlier in the thread!)
Inlines are enjoying a comeback, watched a fabulous video yesterday the central theme of which was their immense popularity followed by a virtual disappearance when skateboarding came on in the early 2000's. I'll see if I can find it...I have the opposite problem. I just started getting into inline skating. I have small, narrow feet. I'm currently wearing double socks, one pair is medium thick and one pair is very heavy winter hiking socks. I'm considering adding a third pair, but my feet are already fiery infernos while working out in those two pairs. Even with those two pairs, and the skate laces as tight as they go, I have a hard time learning skills when I move my body and the feet just rotate within the skates without applying any different forces to the wheels.
Maybe I need to get into making my own skates too.

One day, we'd like to get an electric or PHEV, but our current living arrangement has only limited charging, and since my spouse is in med school, we don't know what the charging situation will look like in 2-3 years once she starts residency in whatever place that might be.
It's funny that you chose this color picture: that was the color we originally asked for, but in September when the dealer got an unclaimed allocation, they asked if I'd be willing to take a dark gray instead, and the rest is history.Annoyingly now that you mention it I actually DO recall this!
Congrats.... the new Elantra is a nice looking car!
(I loved my 2014)

Yeah, that looks like what we got, sans sun roof (because I didn't want the limited edition). This was our second choice color anyway (and I could say it was a toss-up anyway); dealership required a single selection for their allocation system when we put the deposit down. This the one?(the below pictured is a 2023)
I like the metallic paint better than the "wet concrete" look on the other one myself.

Is this a joke that I don't get the reference to? A lot of cars can fit 10' pipes (I've done that with both my Civic and my Camry). Just fold down the trunk. It will come close to hitting the windshield and just barely let the trunk close, but 10' objects usually fit. Note: I don't have an Elantra, but a quick google search shows that models a few years older had no problem with 10' 2x4s.^^^ Can you put a 10' stick of pipe fully inside in either of those? No? No reason to have either of them then.
