11.7% alcohol crazy! :D

I brewed a maple/sour cherry stout once that took literally 5 years in a dark corner of my basement to be smooth and drinkable. Ended up approx 12-13% too.

which proves that "aged in XY barrel" or "blended with SECRET ALIEN MALT" mean nothing.
Here is a whisky from a competent brewer that is absolutely trash. The taste of the wine barrel does nothing but clash with the taste a whisky should have.

.. it was heavily discounted, £22 down from £35. Guess why.

Looked up a substitute for Troegs Nugget Nectar, my favorite beer of all that is only brewed for about two months per year and is currently trailing off in stores. Yeah, this will do. Not cheap though.

Nothing too exciting this time around I'm afraid ... I've always really like Grolsch though. Tastes like Heineken used too when we still got the Dutch-brewed stuff. (caution they pull the 11.2 oz BS on regular bottles)

It's crazy how beer alcohol percentages have taken off. Anything under double digits doesn't mentally register as high alcohol content anymore.
I just picked up a 4 pack of these today
