What are you or would you give up for lent?

Even if you're not religious, your input is welcome....

You mean I get to stop doing things that I enjoy, just to impress a magical man in the sky?

Where do I sign up?

Chocolate. And I'm seriously considering it this year. I'm not sure I could give up meat though. Wouldn't be good for working out.

And I don't like fish...I know it kind of defies the whole damn point, but isn't chocolate good enough? :p

If you're not religious why would you give up anything for Lent? It has no meaning outside the fairy tales.

Lent seems to be an actual self improvement type thingee, therefore, the question is basically if you were to give up something for 40 days toward a self improvement goal, what would it be?

Then make a different thread for that. This is a religious thread.

I'm not religious at ALL, but am giving up all non fish meat for lent, as it is already a preestablished length of time to do it for. I'll make it up with lots of milk, eggs, beans, etc.

I am not religious, and I have no intention of giving up anything for any religious reason, ever.

The amount of doucheness in some of the responses is staggering. The whole point of OP's thread was just a query about what small luxury you currently enjoy that you would be willing to give up. It doesnt mean you have to or you would. All it's meant is to see what things people indulge in that they could possibly go withuot. Yes we get, you're an atheist, religion sucks, bla bla bla. I swear, athiests use to be intelligent people with a sense of humor. Now they're getting as annoying as some of the religious nutjobs
