What are/would you give up for Lent?

How about eating and drinking between sunrise and sunset? Muslims can do that for a month, so why do Catholics have to take the sissy route of fasting and just give up one non-essential thing?

Anyways, I would (and do) give up soda. It is not to "please the invisible man in the sky" but rather as just a self-improvement, personal trial I like to put myself through every year.

If I did Lent, I'd try to limit my internet-ing to 1 hour per day. Maybe 30 minutes.

It would be hard as hell, but I think it would improve my sleep schedule and my self-discipline skills.
