The recent riots were a weird thing.

They were ostensibly to to with the shooting of Mark Duggan by the police, but noone looking at that case would find anything to riot over really.

It was a combination of hot weather, social media, youth disaffection and a bunch of stuff that no one will probably understand.

It was probably closer to a flash mob than a riot with a cause.

No problem, give me a badge, I'll stand at a construction site all day for $50 an hour. I'll drive around and respond to useless crimes, and then when the big ones roll in I'll pull my gun out shoot first, ask questions later. Seems really easy to me.
 
The 24/7 thing can vary greatly from state to state and even agency to agency. Pretty much everywhere cops have arrest powers on and off duty as long as they are within their jurisdiction. Now when they are off duty and observe a crime what happens next can vary massively. Some states/agencies require you to act. Some don't. A cop is a cop 24/7 but if off duty isn't always required to get involved. Off course their is a morality issue if they don't as well. It's not clear cut as it may seem. If said cop is in a store getting robbed he should act right? Now if he has his baby with him? Not so much. Everything isn't black and white.
 
These pigs are getting smarter. Everyday one of these "peace" officers wake up plotting a paint by numbers scenario fantasy of killing citizens. These Killer Cops have countless methods to play out these scenarios. Once he enraged the drunk by driving his knee into the back of the victim's head he knew he earned his "good shoot".

I wouldn't be surprised if the pig was smiling as he took the blows from the drunk as he unfastens his holster. The video is cut off at the shoot, but I bet the next 30 seconds is the cop getting up with the best erection he's had in years...

Being easy to do, and actually doing it are two different things.

Being overweight is easy to do, and almost anyone can do it, but actually doing it are two different things.

Reasons for being a cop:
Easy a f*ck
Good pay (here at least)

Reasons for not being a cop:
I don't want to be a pig
I don't want to associate with pigs

That about sums it up right there.

Yeah, can't fault the cop here. BTW, where was the wife in all this? She should've gotten involved and held her husband back so he wouldn't have gotten shot.

Just watched the video. Christ he was really hitting that cop; I don't blame the cop for saying he felt afraid for his life. And as for the reason the firefighter started fighting the cop (ignoring the former's refusal to fucking cooperate as it is), yeah the cop kneed him in the head, but he wasn't cooperating and just being difficult, what did he expect to happen? That didn't look deliberate at all, the cop was just trying to re-position himself.

Sad case but I find it hard to fault the cop.

I wouldn't trust a cop as far as I could kick him, hell the cop wasn't even on duty, and didn't have any backup..Oh dear, he punched me in the face (when I deserved it), so I was scared for my life, cause he could probably hit me again, so I shot that drunk ass phark!.......twice, just to be sure....

LOL, there is no wonder why people hate the cops!

Of course, this is just my 2cents....probably others out there think the drunk guy could probably have killed that nice police officer

Honestly, I could have saw the kneeing as intentional, but regardless... The cop gave him like 30 seconds to cooperate with being handcuffed and he didn't. The police officer probably was counting down in his head as to how long he was going to wait on this shit before getting aggressive.

Now, of course, the stupid Fireman started hitting the cop and I was like, "No, no. THAT IS CRAZY STUPID!" And I watched the cop unholster his gun. I was expecting the hitting to actually stop and it didn't... and then shots fired. Yep, Darwin at work.
 
The more I think about this, the more I think the cop's own inept handling of the situation has lead to this.
Over-reaction? to a grooms defense of his bride, the best day of his life and obviously also under the influence, chased without backup 2 blocks (hence no site of bride), worst police\security guard\middle aged power tripper handcuff attempt balls up, caught on film....
No one was dying when the victim ran off, the unsupported police officer could easily have just got details from the bride and picked the suspect up later with backup, if it was deemed necessary.
His own actions blew the situation out of order, his admittance that he was puffing after the run and lame attempt to subjugate and temper the arrest , lead to his knee-jerk plan B shoot to kill!...

Gee, I don't know but seems to me, the cop made a mountain out of a mole hill, and instead of moderating justice, escalated the mood, culminating in his paranoid, terminal shooting of essentially, an innocent man.

All I can say, is I'm glad I don't live in the US of A.
