Like Mr T said, I pity the fool who has his nuts cut.

Technically your nuts are untouched. Well, fondled at least during procedure. But not cut or altered. It's just the tube that allows sperm to mix with the rest of ejaculate that is clipped.

Correct. Or about as much fondling as when I get my pants measured for tailoring

This just in, women can have their tubes tied. They're the baby factories, let them bar the door from the inside.

That factory is just an empty shell until you inject you're little worker bees into her. This just in, having your tubes tied is a invasive procedure with long recovery time.

I agree, but my Doc said it won't happen. Between the Vicodin and the local anesthetic, I can probably just pretend I'm asleep :p

Its trolling to be curious about the decline of celibacy in marriage, even after decades of being joined at the hip?

Historically speaking, there used to be a point in people's lives when sex grew less important to the point of being unnecessary to enjoy a loving relationship. The idea is being lost in today's focus on self indulgence.

This is not a criticism of the OP, just an observation. We all make up our own minds.

Okay, Single Guy Who Lives With His Parents.

I do not have kids and I am single but I am going to go through the procedure soon. I am banking my sperm though for use later, if and when I meet someone worth having a kid with. I figure 18 years of child support to a woman who I have nothing in common, or pay for IVF with a woman / surrogate when the time is right.

I'll be undergoing the procedure soon, however I have to find out about the minimal procedure. I can go with Kaiser for this, but I am not sure if I should just go out of pocket on it.

This was nothing compared to having a cystoscopy while awake. Try having a camera shoved up your peehole for 20 minutes and at the end having the urologist spin the camera around and ask if you want to see the inside of the bladder. I wanted to punch him.

And the pissing razor blades for the next three days was far more uncomfortable than what my vasectomy was.

what kind of tailor do you have? i remember the doc holding my sack, palpating my sack, sticking a needle into my sack not onece but a few times, and then takeing a really sharp knife and making a hole in my sack to stick her finger in.

if your tailor does all that i hope you tip well.

D-Day. Took a Vicodin an hour prior. Lying on the clinic bed, I was given local anesthetic (Lidocain) via small injections, which set in less than 5mins. The Dr pulled out the vas deferens (one at a time) to cut a section, then cauterized both ends. For a comparison, it looked like angel hair pasta coated in sauce.

I can't believe that no one has asked yet:

What kind of sauce?

I've shopped around, cryobank in los angeles charges about 450/yr for the sperm banking. The pre-bank tests are about 1200 (that includes the deposit, preparations, blood tests etc)

There are other competing providers that are a bit cheaper, one is 360/yr (pacific reproductive services I think its called). The thing I need to find out is how many years can the sperm be banked and how many loads do I need to deposit.

I am so busy with work these days, I havent had a proper wank, I am sure you need to blow a full load to make it count, so I need to be less stressed and more free of work before I do it.

I am thinking like early June I'd make the move.

I'm still in the "cleaning out the pipes" phase so can't say for sure. What I can say is that semen makes up about 1%-2% of your total output so overall volume/color/texture/ect should remain almost entirely unchanged.

A man getting cut is one of the ultimate forms of humiliation and submission.

When I was married to my first wife, my mother-in-law tried to "tell" me I was going to get cut. I told her real quick, and in no uncertain terms that "NO, I was not".

My mother-in-law went on to tell me it was easier for the man to get cut then a woman, and after the woman had the kids, that is the least I could do.

I do not care if it is easier for the man to get cut, I am NOT going to be cut, screw that.

Sterilization is an act of submission, and I am not submitting.

Going to go beat your wife while you're at it to make sure you're not "submitting" to her? Seriously this has to be the worst logic I've ever heard about why NOT get snipped. There are many reasons for people to not get snipped, but there is no reason not to if the following is true:
-You and your spouse don't want (anymore) kids
-There aren't medical reasons to prevent it (known I know of that would prevent it)

It's cheaper, shorter recovery, less risk, less painful, and just as effective.

Eventually between 40-50

Until that time; there are plenty of days to start an extra child.

And the freedom to chase around the table without any consequences is exhilarating

The freedom is great. I was one who was paranoid about accidents. I was so bad that one night a month or so after my surgery and I was cleared I had sex with a girl, with a condom still, and when I was about to finish I pulled out *just in case there was a tear in the condom* and then tied it up and took it with me... Now I use condoms still but don't worry about that. It's very nice.

This might be of interest to you, but then again, I doubt it. What I am referring to is about the last 1/4 of this article.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-17729478

Women, however, choose a man of a similar age to be their best friend from the age of 20. He remains for about 15 years, after which time he's replaced by a daughter.

Go ahead and get your nuts cut. Pulling yourself out of the gene pool is probably the best thing you can do for humanity.

Have you ever heard of female spiders eating the males after mating? That is what getting cut does. It ensures the woman you will not have kids with anyone else. Like I told my first and second wife, I want to make sure I can have kids if we split up.

It's cheaper, shorter recovery, less risk, less painful, and just as effective.

Get out of the stone age.

Over the past few decades there have been advances made in womens health. there are options available that are less invasive then the male getting cut.

Short of smacking such women around to put them in their place, a man must stand up for himself. Being told or heavily suggested by such a woman (or her mother) that he must get snipped is submission that no man must ever accept.

There are not enough     in the world to deal with those.

And you're saying that DV is in the stone age? I'm not interested in being the next Genghis Khan or Antonio Cromarte, and the OP has made clear that he doesn't want any more children.

If you have decided that you don't want any more kids no matter what (including if you got divorced, which doesn't remove your responsibility for your current kids), then why not get cut? It means that you can have as much sex as you like for the rest of your life and never have to worry about making a kid ever again. Your presumption that being "removed from the gene pool" (which he's not, as he has children) is somehow an act of submission to his wife is utterly preposterous.

I do worry that you have some really big trust issues with your wives, though. I don't think I'd ever get married to someone if I were afraid that they would leave me.
