Well there you have it. Evolution has officially been debunked.

Three words: endogenous retroviral insertions.

Either God decided to insert exactly the same retroviral DNA into the genomes of apes and humans at exactly the same place in the sequence for no other apparent reason than to make it look exactly like humans share a common ancestor with modern apes, or humans actually share a common ancestor with modern apes.

So which is it? Upon what basis should we believe the former rather than the latter?

He doesn't care and is willfully ignorant.

The whole idea of ignoring someone on a discussion forum makes no sense to me. The whole point is to discuss things with people of varying religions, creeds, upbringings, etc.

To ignore someone because they are religious, or liberal, or republican.. is doing yourself no favors, IMO.

No, I am ignoring bouncy balls. If someone wants to be rational about their beliefs I am all open to it. But if they're like, "DUUURR FAITTHH YOU'RE A MORAN... HERE IS MOAR NON SEQUITURS LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!" then I am putting them on ignore and just saying, "good riddance. :awe:"

This guy was like fleabag...

Nope, not really. I don't claim to know anything about evolution, just that I don't believe we evolved from apes.

You claim not to know anything about evolution but you believe it's false.

Yes, really.

I don't claim to know anything about evolution, just that I don't believe we evolved from apes.
I presented facts that demonstrate that we apparently did, but you are afraid to learn the facts -- hence the irony of your sig.

And it's a theory, not a fact.
There is nothing theoretical about endogenous retroviral insertions, nor is there anything theoretical about the way they propagate in genomes. It is not a theory that there are identical retroviral DNA sequences at exactly the same places in the genomes of humans and apes. These are all facts. Theories are not "guesses," -- that is also a fact. Sorry to scare you so deeply.

And I didn't even bother to read your post actually.
Of course you didn't. You're afraid of facts.

WHY DID YOU GUYS HAVE TO QUOTE HIM?! 🙁 Bouncy balls... BOUNCY BOUNCY BOUNCY BOUNCY!! *BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE BOUNCE*

Yet another person calling someone else ignorant if they don't believe what they want you to believe.

There's a difference between believing in observable facts and believing in a story or mythlogical belief structure.

If you actually put the effort into understanding rather than believing, you'd maybe find enlightenment. Even Jesus made a point that wise men are usually the ones not apt to profess it.

Do you believe in the theory of gravity?

No. That isn't what I meant. See my edit.

Evolution is a proven fact. Things evolve. Things evolve so fast and on such a large scale, you can observe it yourself by simply embarking on a breeding program. Whether that be animals or plants.

To ignore these facts is indeed ignorant. Just like it would be ignorant to deny that 5*5=25.

What is in question is whether we evolved. If you want to believe that we didn't evolve, that's fine. You cannot, however, deny that evolution takes place.

Your last sentence makes sense to me. I cannot see how we evolved from simple things over billions of years to what we are today. The human is a complex being. If scientific evidence was found for this, it would truly be amazing.

Oh no, I am being ignored by one of the main forum trolls. Where will I go for computer advice, women advice, religious advice and froot loop advice? I am at a loss for words.

I hear you saying something....

YEAAAAAAH BOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!

Edit:

Bragging about ignoring someone, wow, you got mad skills yo !!!!

Does it not make sense because you can't read?

The scientific evidence for it IS amazing, there's just a fucking shitload of it so it doesn't exactly make for bumper-sticker sloganeering, like it seems appeals to most anti-evolution zealots.

Take a look at a very nice accumulation of the evidence here:
