ROFL...

No i would of pushed san aces on him, however i cant find them in stock. LOL.

Yates are great generic.

Kaze's push more air on higher settings.

The cost, kaze's are 2x, but its a 38mm fan vs a 25mm fan.

will check them out.

On the DD fatboy; I noticed the machining quality in the pic is crap. Thats not how they look in person is it?
Are the BP ones I linked similar/same? also have you seen the new BP Black sparkle finish ( I really like it) kind of like a black chrome (cant think of the proper color)

Need input on what i've found on those barbs. / I've noticed the chrome plating chips off in very fine pieces... Not only on the Fat Boy but on other plated parts as well. How bad is this for the loop? I think I need to add in a filter... **groans**

thats a bummer. your running DD fat boys right?

I would think a filter would restrict flow and if got clogged would be disasterous. I havent heard of anyone running a filter, but could be possible.

sorry to hear about that.

I think Im going for the BP black sparkle one's (really love the look). will let you know how they are. Unforunately that probably wont be for a bit. I hope all fittings arent like that

San Aces move loads of air at a higher static pressure though, trust me they are worth it if you can find and afford them.

I buy yates ~10-15 at a time. I can get 10 yates for the price of 1-2 San Aces.

Hey Gillbot; where do you get yours? Petra's; have heard they are the only ones to buy direct and the fan quality is better compared to yates at other shops. Also are your fan blades curved or straight? Over at XS they say the straight is better on rads and curved better for just intake/exhaust fans. I think I have it the right way, could be reversed.

AIGO; was over at XS again, as always and saw that you are using a feser TFC480; would this rad be way too much for me? its only a few bucks more than the 360
Need your input.

Also getting anxious. Still deciding on case but am getting the itch to start buying wc parts!

can you fit the rad?

ROFL

i took messurements remember?

Sure bigger is always better.

I like Jab-tech and Sidewinders.

I love petra's but Alex is always Out of Stock. :\

If you do shop there, mention my name, and they tend to take care of your order personally.

Give us a re-cap of where you are at with parts and what direction you are going with again. Mine is almost over and I am sorta having withdraw from it. ***looks at PC 60 case***

he's changed his build so much i dont even know what hes going.

last time he was after the cheap buffet gillbot had.

But later on saw lobster on my buffet table, and slowly moved over.

Right now i think he's looking for a pay as you go plan because he see's how expensive the lobster is.

LOL...

Jab-Tech is where I get my Yates.

There's a thread around here somewhere with a reply I quoted from John @ Jab-Tech about the yates.

You are hilarious, but very true.
I am not sure if I can fit the Feser 480; I thought about that after I asked. Not sure on the case but some kind of mountain mod.

Thinking of an ascension; possibly extended Ascension or u2-ufo-cyo. LOL; that doesnt say much. I cant recall the length but I think its around 20"ish. would only fit the Acension or an extended case.

Of course I dont think I would need a rad that big for a cpu only loop.

OK; Recap... from Gillbot mickey D's budget to Aigo's 5 star budget!

Koolance CPU-350AC
MCP-355
XSPC Rest/top
BP fittings and high flow barbs
Feser TFC360 (Unless I can plan for 480 rads; 10-15 more ea rad)
Kaze or Y Loones fans. (San Ace out of stock and $25ea)
MasterKleer 7/16"id 5/8"od

Mountain Mod Case (not sure which one yet; depends on rads and if I do a dual system setup)

I think thats all I have come up with so far

Thanks. Thinking about getting parts now and maybe setting up on desk till I can afford the case. I really dont want to spend 800 or so bucks right now and I think my wife will kill me. I have a money spending problem and she doesnt like it too much, lol.

But I7 $230 plus tax for the 920 cpu right now is really tempting. If I got an I7 system now, that would kill my budget for water and/or case. Think it would be best to start water system and or get a case first.

Mickey D's? Wow are you expensive! ;)

My budget is probably under Mickey D's too! Man I wish I still had pics of my first loop! Total cost was under $50 but it worked pretty darn well! It was just poorly executed and maintained by myself but I figured it was worth it as an experiment!

lol, I remember a couple years ago many saying you could easily build a loop for a couple hundred or watch the FS section.
I have noticed that a lot of people are selling items for new prices; crazy.
I was originally ok with the lower budget items, The I asked for Aigos help and turned into lobster tails, lol
Its not all his fault; I tend to like expensive things and looking at the worklogs on XS doesnt help either.

Has anyone heard any news on Skinnies test results for the new XSPC rads? Just saw a thread on it, but havent seen any results. If these perform anything like the TC or feser I may have to change my mind on the rad, lol

EDIT: How many temp sensors do i need for single cpu loop only?
Link to which ones you recommend please?

What temp monitor and/or fan controllers do you recommend with links as well please?
