Source please... First I assume you meant Medicaid not Medicare (unless you're talking about the 90 year old greeters at the door - yeah they probably are on Medicare). Are you claiming that Walmart somehow is using Medicaid as it's insurance for it's employees? I'd really like to know how a private company is using government backed program like that.
Because WalMart doesn't offer insurance to most of its employees. Hence, they have to rely upon Medicaid. Why do you think there is legislation afoot in some states to force WalMart to start providing coverage for its employees?

Say you want a micro oven. Walmart has a very simple basic one for a low low price. But what they count on, and it works for them, is when you're looking at the cheapo micro wave. Then you look next to it at the next one up. More features, looks a little nicer. So you go for the mid range micro. Well, the walmart price of those other micros, past the basic cheep one, is higher than you'd find anywhere else. Thats how they do it.

I saw the same documentary and had to see for myself...

Sure enough, a cheapo microwave was in the middle of the aisle with its price in huge characters. However, I wrote down prices of their entire line and it turns out that every microwave they sell was the cheapest price in town (compared to Target, Home Depot, and Sears)

Uh...so...I don't know...

Don't believe the hype I guess?

Goddamn blue state voters won't be happy till they turn the whole country into some kind of Socialist state! NOBODY is forced to work there, and when Hillary tried to force busineses to foot the bill for our health care, she got shot down in spades... THANK GOD!

3. Most of their products are cheap for a reason

Pretty sure the brand name products that I buy a Walmart are exactly the same as those at Kroger but much cheaper.

And hell, they're better because usually the experiation date is later because walmart's stock moves faster.

Yes, but I hardly shop at all. I'm a go in, get what I came for, leave type of person, so it doesn't really matter where I shop. So, I shop where I get the best prices on the stuff I need, and that's typically walmart.

There's a certain type of person who regularily shops at Wallmart, and I'm not that kind of person.

With such a lack of character, it's safe to say, even the lowest bottom Walmart feeders look down on the likes of our dear Rudee. Takes all kinds I guess...

I don't shop anywhere. When I need something, I go to the store and buy it. If Walmart has something I can't get anywhere else conveniently, or if they have a good deal on something I need, then I buy it there.

I don't because the lines are too long. I shop at Target instead which has much shorter lines. I do shop at Sams Club though. Sams Club and Costco are my favorite B&M stores.

No Walmart here. Well its about 15 min away. Target rules the area, but I do not care.

You can't EVER beat a place like Costco. See. Wal Mart is for cheap white people. They like cheap stuff, but you cannot beat Costco's deals. That's why when you go to Costco here you see all the Indians, Asians, etc shop there =)

That's how you know you're getting the best deal.... and how many people get costco cards anyways when they're in college =P

The Canon G6 is $579.99 at Costco and $544.54 at Walmart. You actually pay for that privilege?

Walmart is about the only choice around here after 5 or 6 pm. (Small rural town.) I prefer Target, but it's over an hour away. I also prefer Food City for groceries, they have better quality and comparable prices to Walmart.

No... it was my new years resolution to never shop there again. I've kept it.

It is a piece of sh!t company. They treat their customers like cattle.

Their parking lot always has a ton of carts randomly scattered about. It is impossible to park without fear of carts hammering your car. They always have a team of about 5 people to collect the carts, but they always stand inside doing nothing.

There is nothing good about Wal-Mart.

I will go to a local farm store (Farm & Fleet or Fleet Farm) or a smaller store and pay 25 cents more for the item.

It's the only place with low prices withing 50 miles. It's 18 miles just to get to Wal Mart, so I shop there for a lot of stuff.
