I got a 4801 or something to the like on my system...I had a G400 8mb AGP in this system (temporarily, before I got my 6564 ti200) and got somewhere around ~1100

Nothing overclocked.

i would think unless it says specificly on the rebate that it has to be purchased from a "participating retailer" or "authorized retailer" it should be okay..

Boy, this is tough -- I have an Asus 32 MB V7700 GeForce2GTS .... I assume this would kick it's A** ? I don't "need" anything new, but I did not need that scanner I bought either and have not even hooked it up. At least this I would plug in

I called VisionTek COrporate and said I wanted to know where I could buy a card to qualify for the Rebate VisionTek Offer #5733 and she (Cathy) said that it should be good anywhere. Take it for what it's worth. Cathy was the person I was transferred to when I said I had a question about a Visiontek Rebate.

The rebates are available directly from their site and do not mention any specific store, so no, that is not correct.

The only reason the scan is out there is because they've changed the rebate to $30 now. My copy of it was printed out from the website before they changed it and it is identical to the ones posted.

w00000000t just got my GF3 TI200 from UPS about 45mins ago... turns out their Miami distribution center is hmmmm 5 blocks from my work location about 0.85 miles away according to mapquest...

haven't gotten AC yet but Necx Cust Svc says it will be here in 7-10 days

i think i'm officially the first person on this board to get this from Necx, so let me just clear the air and say that YES it has S-video outputs in addition to VGA, its a standard boxed (and sealed!) Xtasy 6564 video card...

well go to gateway.com, then click on accessory store, then look @ the url in your browser... it will show necxdirect.com!! i read the "about us" page on necx and it says something to the effect of "In april 2000, we were bought by Gateway"... so really when you are ordering from "Gateway Accessory Store" -- that is, when you are buying ANYTHING but a complete Gateway system -- you are really buying it from Necx... so Necx == Gateway!

Make sure you keep copies of all your VisionTek rebate docs and follow up on the rebate. I bought this card during the BB black Friday sale and sent the rebate on 11/25. When it showed up in wheresmyrebate.com it had an estimated mail date of 2/17. I had to call them today to remind them it was overdue.

Gateway is fast! I ordered around 3:30 pm on Thurs. Since it was shipping UPS ground most likely out of Texas or Calif or Wash I figured it would arrive the middle or latter part of next week. It arrived yesterday around 5:00 pm and had shipped out of Swedesboro, NJ. to our in home in MD. They are fast and shipping was free!

about your geforce2gts, it is a big upgrade in the fact that it has vertex and pixel shaders which can do amazing things but aren't really supported yet. It will still put out faster frame rates in current games but not by THAT much, howevever, when programmers start using vertex and pixel shaders it will help a ton, but there may be a hot deal on a geforce4 by then, *shrug*

yes its an upgrade and its a great price so shaddup and get it (there someone said it, think he will do it now??)

run some timedemos etc before upgrading (like i'm about to do) to see the diff...

For those of you who have Asheron's Call on backorder, I noticed that in the e-mail it said the order for it would be canceled if in 60 days they couldn't find anymore to send.

Does this mean they'll simply take the $17 off the order (and save me the trouble of sending in for the rebate) or does this mean they'll take the $17 off the order and also cancel the $50 coupon?

D'oh - I missed the earlier question about this. Any guesses though? I may end up changing it over to Age of Empires if its still in stock. $5 more, but then I'd hate to lose that $50...

Can't say what necx does, but in the past from other stores when I've cancelled something after the fact they've not removed the coupon.

I've done that at Staples & Buy before and they just let the coupon stay.

Nice deal. $152 shipped - $50 rebate. I needed some crossover cables and other cheap crap anyway...

what if I get this card ($189) , some other $50 item or something, bringing it to like $240, then use a $50 coupon to drop me back down to $190. Then I send an AMEX pricematch for a place that has 'em for like $150. Thats $150 out of pocket. Then i send in this rebate and get abck $50. Thats $100 out of my pocket for the card AND another item. Any1 think this will work?
