Damn. I wish bags that big were still 99 cents.

Or maybe she's just small enough that the small bag looks big...

Vampirr no offense but why are you posting that? We all know how 8350 performs,it's a solid chip. No need to post a random video on YT when we have like 50 reviews on the internet.

C'mon! Let's not spoil his fun. Many people such as myself didn't know about the video on Youtube. Now that I do I say thank you!

Cherry picking indeed, BUT it is a nice summary for things to look for if you need something in particular. I had to find the mute button but otherwise it worked out.

This video was already discussed in a previous thread. It would be nice if you stop treating everyone else like little dumb and ignorant munchkins, but I suspect you have too much hubris in that skull of yous.

Hey, no need to attack people personally here. Yes, that video is cherry picked to the max, but that's no call for such a strong and personal response. Much better to provide evidence to the contrary.

Normally that would work, but vampirr doesn't listen to reason. That's why he's been suspended once this month already.

Funny I have BOTH a 3770k rig and a FX8350 rig see below. The 3770k is faster in most things even though Oc'd to 4.4 while the 8350 is higher at 4.6.
The 8350 is hardly a slouch but simply put the 3770k is faster.

Be VERY careful when you see postings that the FX8350 is faster than the 3770k. I find almost everytime that buried in the fine print is that the FX8350 is OC'd to @4.6Ghz while the 3770k is stock.

I'm willing to run benchies for the doubting Thomas in the crowd.

My mistake, I thought it was the xsplit video again.

The Bench results corroborate the data shown in the video; some of the results were used in the video. Where there are apps that are strongly thread-hungry, the FX-series wins against the i5, i.e BF3, encoding software, etc. In less thread-hungry apps, the i5 takes the slight lead.

The conclusion in the video is not correct though, since a purchase decision depends on many variables that the buyer draws "utility" from. There is no one rule fits all here. The FX-8350 is certainly an interesting choice for some usage scenarios, especially if you're into thread-hungry apps but don't want to spend 130 dollars more, but at the same time, an FX-8350 system does incur some hidden costs, such as a beefier PSU or making sure the motherboard's VRMs are good enough.
