I defer to Idontcare on the issue of this thread. I KNOW he has both the FX8350 AND the 3770k.

Actually, I was lying.

This is how I did it. It's like speed reading, but requires a little more concentration. For the record, I watched this entire video in only one hour.

Chicken Song 10 Tabs!

Multicore processing at it's finest! Try doing that on an Intel! :colbert:

Runs good on 3930k! :awe:

I got to 30 tabs in Opera before I stopped, and was having flashbacks to "you are an idiot" popup days. CPU usage was up to 24% and RAM (Opera only) was @ 1.9GB. Flash plugin crashed @ tab #27 in Chrome and I didn't test FF. I DON'T EVEN OWN AN FX-8350. That's right...

yeah I went to 15 tabs in opera and got 24% cpu aswell, ram was at 2gbs.

I think it was because I wasn't viewing all of them.is there a way I can separate them up into individual windows?

Right-click a tab and choose Arrange -> Tile Vertically to view all tabs in one window. Otherwise, right-click the link and choose Open in New Window.

I sense a new benchmark in the making

Phenom II X6 30 CTs (Chicken Tabs)
Q9550 5 CTs (6th wouldn't load)
i3-540 10 CTs (incomplete?)
i7-3930k 5 (?) CTs (crashed)

thx, I ran 22 tiled tabs in opera then it started getting slow I think from low ram.
cpu24-31%
ram used 3.6gbs

I stopped on my own at 15 tabs on a paltry e7300 running Win8 and IE10.... But I don't think there's a way to tile the tabs in IE so that they're all viewable. Based on it's resource usage, it looked like it would have eventually ground to a halt due to lack of memory (4gb in this box) before hitting the CPU wall.

-1 tab, it was the straw that broke the camels back so to speak....

I think it was around 5.6 or 5.8GB before she blew, cpu went 100% by the 12th or 13th window.

IE lied about crashing and sat there refusing to produce any chickens

I just opened 20 of them, in separate windows, in Waterfox 18.0.1 / Win7 HP 64-bit / 8GB DDR3 / G630 Pentium dual-core. What am I supposed to be seeing?

Edit: Opened 33 of them. plugin-container.exe was nearly up to 4GB of RAM all by itself (flash player). Total RAM usage close to 8GB. CPU usage pinned at 85-90%.

I didn't want it to start swapping on my SSD and wear it out, so I shut it down. But yep, I had 33 of them running at once. Made quite a racket. (Considering it's ~4:30am right now.)

Challenge accepted.

Really working my 2 1/2 year mobile chip hard as you can see, at that rate I could only get 40 tabs open before it ran out of juice......
