Many christians reject alot of the teaching of physics. He teaches classes on fractals, and nonlinear dynamical systems too.

I edited it because I wasn't 100% sure I was correct in saying most Christians reject physics.

I started to respond to this, but after reading through the thread, what has been said, more than covers the gambit...so I'll keep my mouth shut.

Yep, ' thou shall not obey gravity' is one of our chief beliefs and commandments. In fact we consider physics and all other science to be similar to cults and scientists to be false prophets spreading the drivel of the enemy.

It was part of the 5 Commandments on the third tablet that Mel...err, Moses dropped.

Have you had him? If he keeps his beliefs separate from the curriculum he teaches I don't see a problem.

No I haven't.

What is also disturbing is he is teaching a class showing gods so called love and science, outside of the campus. If he teaches this outside of campus who knows what he plans to teach inside his class.

if you've never had him, get a ****** life and stop bitching, i'm tired of all you anti religion retards trying to ignite flame wars, you're just as bad as fundamentalist christians/islamists who try to do the same sh!t

While I might understand your intention, I dislike seeing any form of Christian label paired with an Islamic one. To be a fundamentalist does not a terrorist make. If you are thinking of a few radical people who have committed attrocities in the name of God, their god was not related to Christianity of any form.

Fundamentalist has become a denigrating epithet for anyone who actually believes in God and the Bible. By that definition, I am a fundamentalist. But, I have never considered murdering anyone, nor destroying anyone's property. If you wish to make an issue out of that, that is fine, so long as you keep your terms straight.

I'm going to go with the general concensus here, and say that I think you're an idiot.

Sir, you have some learning to do. He said flame wars, not terrorism. Christianity and Islam have been linked since the days of Abraham, so whether you like it is completely irrelevant. And all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, even you. Have you forgotten the sins of Saul, David, Solomon, all anointed kings of Israel? Have you forgotten that Paul guarded people's clothes while they stoned Stephen? Calling oneself Christian, or even actually converting and repenting, or even walking just as he did, does not instantly make one holier-than-Ali. Jesus did not teach us to focus on what other people do, but on what we do. I recommend you read and meditate on Psalm 51, remembering all the while that it was written by a greater man than you or I. You will be in my prayers.

It would seem that I'm not the only one that has a few things to learn. Firstly, Islam did not exist in the time of Abraham, but about 2500 years later, and about 6 hundred years after Christ. Secondly, while Christians are not without sin, your examples are very poor, because when Paul resided at the stoning of Stephen, he was not a Christian. For that matter, David and Solomon never were.

I appreciate the fact that you are apparently a Christian, but if you felt that what I said deserves chastisement, then I have no idea of what you believe, for nothing that I said indicated that I consider myself holier than anyone.

I never mind anyone praying for me, but for it to do any good, you would need for God to be listening. Perhaps He will, and open your eyes a bit wider.
